You're right, but also not really factoring all the minutia. How many more hours went into all the parts of the home? It's not a month when you have to make the screws and nails, cut the wood, polish the tile, mine the metal, etc. It's far higher.
Other than that, I agree.

"God" is the greatest cause of murder and war. It's fucking stupid. In the old testament, he's a fucking dick. Seriously, what an asshole. But "christians" who know nothing about the book they proselytize pretend they have a moral obligation to be assholes to people they don't like.

I've studied and read more historical and educational books on early christianity than any right-wing republican asshole (I live in the USA), I guarantee it. I was on a serious mission for about 18 months after years of casual Wikipedia browsing. But it's not just christians.

Any person who makes their religion known to strangers is a weak piece of shit. Wear a cross, a burka, a kippah, whatever. You suck. It should be private. Advertising your beliefs shows how insecure you are about them. I don't need to prove a goddamn thing to anyone because I'm confident that I'm morally correct. You know why you need "god above"? Because you're not sure what to think without someone telling you what's right and wrong.

I'm so dejected about it. Our geriatric "leaders" won't lead and they refuse to get out of the way and let younger generations take their turn. If I didn't have plenty of skeletons that would be used against me in a campaign, I'd feel a moral obligation to run for office at some level.

Here's a weird trick I've learned: I just care a lot less than I used to and only do the bare minimum a lot of the time. If you're good at what you do, you can slack off quite a bit without drawing any attention to yourself most of the time. Obv only applicable in certain job roles / conditions, so I plan to stay at this job forever.

Suck it, AI companies. I use an agent to help me code projects and it's genuinely useful. But these companies are leaches and they deserve a good kick in the balls. See price hikes due to shortages because of their build-outs. I'm very fortunate that I am not in need of any hardware (at the moment! hope nothing fails!), but I'm still very mad about how it's affecting people.

Side note: I'm literally trying to figure out and schedule time off before it expires that was won for me by my union. I didn't know about it and it's per-pay period so I got an automated email telling me to use it or lose it. What a great problem to have.
