There are white supremasist and far right people, and not only in goverment, even in kprf there's a guy with last name Matveev who screaming at far right protest stuff like "today immigrants, tomorrow occupants" (in the first few seconds he does here) and bragging about knowing solzhenitsyn personally and glazing him, although he just one guy and more likely that he's trying to ponder what's popular at the moment like, just like Navalny was a nationalist at first (in video he's comparing immigrants to bugs and cocroaches) ..
Also goverment named one of studyung centers of РГГУ (Russian State University for the Humanities) in the name of Ivan Ilyn, the guy who fled USSR and wrote stuff like "Fascism was right" right after Hitlers defeat, and that on the other hand organized studends to protest it. Saddly, it didn't helped but organisation still exists with around 1000 people in there as I heard, which is cool.
Also goverment occasionaly sponsor "historical" movies, and some school force children to watch them and I wouldn't be againts them, if it was actually historical movies, but instead it something stupid like at the end of T-34 soviet tank man shakes hands with gestapo soldier, or like in the other movie Zoya Kosmodemyanska portrayed as Jesus who was suffering not for saving her fatherland from nazis, but just for small things in life like tram near house or a freshly baked bun, or other movie where Moscow was protected because some orthodox cristian icon was brought on plane and carried around city and also Stalin consults with little psychic girl, or I can keep going there are quite a few of those..
So I would say there ARE some right-wing and white supremacy pandering at the goverment level, but I have to argue there are also some people there to oppose them, for example it's a really rare occasion for street to be renamed since soviet time, so there are still lots of Lenin and Marx streets all over Russia, I also once was on a Boulevard of Sailor Zheleznyakov, who was an anarchist and did a lot during revolution.
So as I see it there are some active goverment people who are far-right, some that are againts it and most of them do not care as long as they are in power and can make money so they'll say whatever. The most showing example is Lenins mausoleum, which some want to remove, some want to keep and this debate is since the first day of counter-revolution.
But there were not a single time when goverment tried to target specific ethnical minorities. About political minorities - cfgaussian expanded greatly on anti-lgbt laws so I don't see the reason to repeat it.
I don't want to eat rich they probably full of some nasty chemicals plus I doubt that they taste any good
Let's just redistribute their wealth I don't really get why should we resort to cannibalism when there's a better options /s
One really cool thing in linux (both in wayland and xorg to be more specific) is that it has sepparate clippord that you could past your last selection with middle click
I almost don't use ctrl-c for copying text anymore (exepct in text editor but that's another thing) I just select it with mouse and paste it with middle click it's really handy and neat and I love it
I feel like it's one of the biggest missteps of Soviet Union - it didn't raised new wave of leaders and such, that could lead country towards communism. I don't mean like it should have been their children, but it certanly would have been easier to raise your own child to have qualities similliar to you, to raise your child to be fitting to the role of next leader of revolution. And I belive that's what DPRK revolutionaries noticed that too and it's their solution. It does has it's risks of children being corrupt and/or spoiled, but it it seems to work, especially because in this case those children should be qualified for their position and they recieve no special treatment.
Also Korea does have a clan thing, so that maybe part of it?
I might be absolutely wrong on this, and would be glad to be corrected if thar's the case, but that's how I see the reason why
yeah guys I think he got them yep that's it Cuba don't have ultra wealthy corporations producing blockbuster products without any artistic value, yup every Cuban achievement is now worthless he proved that United Stated of Amerikkka is truly superior he got those commies yeah
As much as I'm aware, there's free healthcare (not the best quality, but it is free), school lunches for children up to 4th grade but it might differ from town to town, from school to school, no housing guaranties, life for pensioners is so-so, pension is pretty low, around 300$ per month, but most people own their houses from soviet times, so most don't have to pay rent, so you get enough for food and paying for home services and even some left. Also you can get some bonuses for different reasons, my grandma had bigger pension and lower payment for house services (water, electricity) because she was veteran of war. Also there's a lot of free activities for people on pension and some general bonuses, like free public transport, but in general life quality for people on pension are bellow average. Also I think I should mention that we have option to study in universities for absolutely free (they even will pay you), if you do get good grades on exams.
I did a quick search, and there are some guaranties for housing! You can rent it from government and you will need to pay only for services and you can even privatize it. It probably would be pretty hard to get, but might be possible. I guess a lot of social nets here like that - you can get it, but it probably won't be easy.
I'm from Russia, can't say that I love Putin, but he's better than any other possible USA puppet would be, although he until the last moment couldn't give up on idea that you can trust western countries and work with them on equal terms.
Most people of older generations like him a lot, because they lived through the Yeltsin years and saw what it was like. A lot of people in younger generations that I know don't like him, since he's corrupt, like any other politician in capitalist country would be, which is valid criticism, but anything they are suggesting are much more corrupt pro-westerners shills. So I'm pretty sure that most older people that I know of (like 45+?) are in support mostly because of material conditions which improved while Putin was in power, and yet still can be critical of him and his actions. Although there are exceptions in both older and younger generations.
Also note, that It's based on my experience and since I'm, sadly, very online person and haven't talked with many people it might be a bit different from reality, but I hope it's at least a bit helpful!
Sorry, I didn't meant it to sounds like I'm trying to disregard Linux and FOSS community!! I'm well aware of FOSS being useful for digital sovereignty! Also I really like FOSS myself!!!
I was just curious about the most visible guys in western sphere..
