    Also, fuck Google and their impossible-to-tell-apart logos! Like, if you have a dozen of Google apps, you need to stop and think because there's nothing obvious now to identify them.

  • I don't think Lemmy has good support for viewing Mastodon content (unlike kbin), but you can view/follow users, threads and comments from Lemmy on Mastodon by searching @whateveryouwant@instance

  • As long as that feature can be disabled, which also clearly states that it sends stuff to Microsoft, I don’t see the big problem. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that there are many features enabled by default of dubious privacy.

  • Going to a PeerTube home page feels like a weird mix of Interdimensional Cable and very early YouTube.

    Discoverability is almost 0 and I can’t easily find any videos that I’d like to watch, as you said. I assume most people would leave once they see what’s on the home page.

  • The Vision Pro has a lot of high-end components beside the screen, but I’m still afraid that the display represents a very high percentage of the cost.

    The more I think about it, the trickier it gets: like the M2, it could be swapped for something cheaper, but then could it drive that monster of a display?; or all the cameras and sensors, but then wouldn’t the pass through look bad?

    I guess they could do away with the fancy audio. I don’t know if OpticID is already easy to do once you have eye tracking, otherwise they may remove it too.

  • They're only invisible to you, it's kind of like muting on Twitter more than blocking, as far as I understood. (I haven't felt the need to do it yet!)
