Great news. This will sadly also feed anti-EU sentiment among bigots in countries like Poland, Hungary, etc. Here to hoping it's a net positive long term.
A full redesign every 4 years really is insane. And for what? Is the usability really better? I just hope this also improves customization, because they keep breaking the ability to change browser colors.
From the videos, I think the people in crashes are not going at 40...lowering the limit will do nothing. Forcing the drivers to slow down with street design is the only way.
It's frustrating. It's 2026 and we're still pointlessly gendering things. And I don't mean this is a "omg you assumed my gender" way. I mean that organization's that should know better go the extra mile to apply strict genders to things and processes. If this email is about workplace harassment or something like that, it would be easier to just not gender people.
I was joking with my other comment, but in some sports they solved this by having people only compete with others in their (weight) class. If this wasn't about appression, this would be the obvious proposal to abolish gendered sports.
The amendment process further loosened the bill to allow flags or banners to be displayed on government-owned streetlights or property adjacent to streets or boulevards, so long as what is displayed is not “political, religious, or ideological in nature.” This change came after several House members questioned the bill's impact on their local communities.
Which flags are left that are not political, religious or ideological? Corporate flags?
