  • Comrades who like video games if you havent played it the Tony Hawk Pro Skater remake is fantastic. Feels exactly like the originals just modern. Sound track slaps. Love getting new clothes and boards for my guy with cash i earned doing in game challenges and no other bs. High recommendation

  • So many citations on wikipedia are like this, that’s a great example. I remember reading the page on the city of New Delhi a couple of years ago and coming across the claim that most Indian people don’t even realize the city is polluted, or something like that. My first thought was, how the fuck is that possible, obviously people can physically see the pollution and know what a clear non-smoggy day looks like. Struck me as a very odd and most probably extremely racist claim.

    The citation for it was a NYT article about pollution in New Delhi and I could not find a single line in it that referenced local people not realizing the city was polluted. No clue at all how they got that claim from the source but it was presented on the page as a verified fact. Can just imagine some western kid doing middle school project on pollution and coming under the assumption that Indians somehow don’t understand the concept.

    This is a relatively benign example but I’m sure the more you dig into a lot of this shit the worse it gets.

  • I desperately want a “traditional” 3D Zelda game, didnt enjoy BotW or TotK all that much. Based on quotes I saw from the director it sounds like that is not gonna happen, however. Hopefully they can at least do a good 2D game to fill that void.

  • It seems like a lot of big chains (cough walmart) would rather spend thousands and thousands on dubiously successful loss prevention schemes and security equipment rather than just hiring more staff to work tills instead of having 95% self checkouts. I’m no business genius but I can’t imagine the math there works out.

People hookup casually now id say primarily cause they want/need to have some human affection or are bored, and that is a symptom of our society where people are largely alienated from that
