  • Only when they allow him to be. And they allow him to be.

  • It is treason. But if no one enforces it…same as the rest of his illegal shit.

  • Nah, they don’t care if they spend money so long as it can’t be conceived of as “giving” money to blue collar working class. How dare they take a billionaire’s money!

  • At which point this is about billionaires trying to escape accountability again. Regarding a work force, again.

  • It really does look like a multifaceted attack on privacy. Age verification. A VPN shuts down due to police. Increased bad code and hacks on open source.

  • To be fair, this was likely a reverse problem of today: not enough social media or freely flowing info via the internet.

People who did not know assumed much from manual covers.

  • Hegseth probably has a yacht and private jet now or some such bullshit. Meanwhile. This.

  • What is the alternative?

  • Technology @lemmy.world

Focused open source attacks. Smells like a corporate sponsored action.

  • I think it’s per employee.

The union is pushing for compensation closer to $1m per employee,

Which is as it should be since these fuckers can’t make their billions without the workers.

  • As a teen I’d bury myself in fiction books to do this. Now, it’s an exercise to find anything engaging and not lowest common denominator writing, so it’s not that easy.

Young adult pseudo romance infesting every genre and Bezos exclusives keeping books off the library e-shelf arent helping. And why does the bulk of scifi have to be military, now?

  • The sticker shock on shipping from McMaster put me right off the first time I tried to order. Small things. Triple digit shipping even so.

  • Exactly. Just like free email isn’t something you’re going to want either. I hate email. My job is hands on and doesn’t pivot around it like HR, lawyers, or admin. But I still need it.

Unpaid slowly eroded the ability to auto sweep spam and garbage from the general pileup thus requiring more time spent dealing with it. Nope. Least time spent there is best.

“Free” email and search engines are not free.

  • I’m watching the economics and anything indicating it’s over. I try not to watch Hegseth himself since his generals speech. He’s like the schoolyard bully’s favorite bitch all growed up, trying to compensate.

  • I still see him in the shack in Antarctica claiming to be all better now.

  • Some businesses won't sell direct, like 3M or most tool brands. But yes, you can often find things on the brand sites.

Amazon and Walmart are for things you can’t find anywhere else, but neither need the membership to make it happen. Strangely, Walmart is better quality lately.

  • Etsy has been more or less swamped with TEMU crap that can be shipped for free. If you don’t offer free shipping TEMU, I mean Etsy, wont show people your stuff. It’s like having the word dead in a YouTube vid, the Algorithm doesn’t like it.

Of course you can bake shipping into the price, but then you’re $5-$20 more expensive than the TEMU with better images section of Etsy.

Sure, there are real people, but they’re hard to find or be.

eBay is a mixed bag, and shipping is often $10-20.

  • Please tell me “Epic Fury” isn’t the actual name. It sounds like something a 13yo boy would come up with after slamming a case of Monster.

  • Not you, your newly turned garden soil.

  • It will still give you ads. I don’t even need to use it to know that. Even if it didn’t, controlling the flow will manipulate millions.

You think misinformation is bad now, this is a hard pivot into worse.

YouTube alternatives. Are there any high traffic alternatives?

One women's theory on the ballroom, pulled by Larry Ellison after 7million views. Thoughts?
