  • I've made a mistake by trying to restore a old Facebook account that I wanted to "delete", I even attempted it on two occasions, of course they demand an ID picture but their website is horrible with the phone camera so the pics always came out blurry so they always refused them.

    Never again.

  • I tried a Flip 4 but it had way too many compromises for my taste relative to a regular samsung phone in the same price range, I was also concerned about it's durability as I tend to keep my phones for about 3 years.

  • I once had a keyboard app that also copied OTPs automatically, could've been GBoard, it doesn't seem like a universal feature since SwiftKey doesn't have it in my case.

Edit: I misunderstood your comment, most apps that I use that send out codes do log them in automatically if they're open, so I have to manually copy a code only if I'm on a website.

  • Couldn't you copy them into a reply, then delete the bits you don't want to keep? I'm possibly misunderstanding though.

That's one way of doing it.

Pro-tip on Android at least - if you open your Recents, you can manually select text that was on your screen even if it wasn't selectable at full screen.

Is that an option on OneUi as well? I haven't been able to figure it out.

  • Fuck Cars @lemmy.world

The idea of buying my first car is very unappealing to me

  • Surely it's Skulls and Bones.

  • I can imagine they attempted to save face after all the 3rd party app mess, of course it's an ill-advised decision and backfired on them as it should.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

In the trending "pickpocket" clip, did the women who allegedly did the pickpocket actually do it in the clip or was it before the clip was taken?

  • Looking forward to trying it! I'm going in with an open mind and definitely not expecting the experience to be as flawless as the original since even Lemmy itself is still in development.

Does not having any social media presence have any negative impact on a person's social life?

  • Yeah that makes sense, I think it comes down to the fact that you might slowly lose lots of details from those memories.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

Do you feel that your memories, especially those of your youth days become more dreamlike as the years go on?

  • MGS4 being caged in PS3 hardware forever is a crime, although Konami coming out with a remake of MGS3 and the Master Collection gives me a bit of hope.

  • I hope that other governments follow suit.

  • Thanks for the transparency.

  • It seems like history does indeed repeat itself.

  • 22 years old prospective CS student here.

  • I've wasted too much of my time already, its probably not worth it given I haven't made any problematic posts ln there.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

Should I try to access an old Facebook account that I lost access to to delete it?

  • We shall soon witness the outbreak of The First Beans War.

  • Came here to check, it's not working on my end either.

  • Thank you, luckily I seem to have my passwords mostly in Firefox.

  • I've just started using 1Password is there anyway I can copy my passwords from Firefox and Samsung Pass to it automatically?

  • I wouldn't mind if they started a subscription model that makes them enough to keep the thing running and be completely independent from Google.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

Is 22 too old to start studying computer science?

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

How many apps for Lemmy are being developed or planned at the moment for Android?

When are we going to have flairs?
