  • Definitely interested in this. Want to see if it has a good lock screen that works well with a gamepad. Install it on my regular desktop

  • Well that was fast. Going to be great to try it out when I get one

  • Xbox Series X. I sold it right when Starfield early access hit and it wasn't an Internet darling. Knew it was downhill from there. Before that by the end to 2020, they Bought Obsidian, Inxile, Bethesda/Zenimax, iD, Ninja Theory, and studios I thought would make a major quality jump like Compulsion games. I thought they'd be releasing awesome RPG games every year by 2021. That didn't pan out

Before that, Xbox and GameCube had so little compared to the PS2 but still had great games unique to themselves. PSP was fun but definitely was happier when I switched to the DS

  • 99% of the time I don't need a full pcie4/5 x4 speed. I'd be happy with like one pcie4 x4 m.2 slot and then a bunch of x1 slots. That to me would be a suitable replacement for 2.5" drives currently

  • See how low they get that power draw. Arc B50 right now is ~70w. Powered fully by the pcie slot. I'll always celebrate the release of low power entry level equipment. Not a AAA monster but capable of 99% of everything else

  • Nice. Hopefully this brings in a lot of new Linux gamers. It and the Steam Frame. I'm now leaning towards skipping the machine and getting a Frame. Assuming the Steam Machine is ~$1000 USD, I see a good amount of gaming laptops second hand that can match a Steam Machine and be placed under a TV

  • It's just euro washing greed like 99% of the buy European of the past couple of years. Better off to support anything open source than the next Tim Epic

  • I'm hopeful still for their Arc lineup of integrated and discrete graphics. The integrated ones seem to be competitive with AMD. Just need the Linux driver's to keep improving. It's great to have Intel and AMD improving with open source drivers for Linux

  • At first it was just Steam sales on Steam. Then Humble Bundle and GamersGate and GreenManGaming. Now it's those plus Fanatical bundles and Digiphile bundles

  • Screw consoles and high end computer gaming. Games started looking very good since the PS2 gen. They were just low res. Low end PC gaming is where it's at. Recently I went back to replay emulated Viewtiful Joe, the old KOTOR games PC version, emulated god of war - they look great. On Steam bought the first Rage and it runs on a basic cheap computer now and I think it looks great. Steam Deck is PS4 level. Don't need a PS5 and definitely won't need a PS6. The future is gameplay not graphics

  • Dragon Age Inquisition, Storm Coat. I remember that looking real good

  • Nice. I'll put a reservation in. Could never get accustomed to the first controller but this should be good

  • Ya. Short term Motorola for Graphene, long term any that support postmarketos

  • Now it's from a new studio, new creators. At least 13 years since Infinite's release. Even if they kept Irrational together with Ken Levine, I wouldn't expect it to fit well. Like the last Matrix movie. People get older and change. Better a new IP without having to be constrained to the expectations of what a BioShock game should be. It's nostalgia bait

  • The series told its story. It doesn't need another game

  • Nice that general system performance is great even on the entry level snapdragon 4. Annoying that they still don't have av1 hardware decode on all of their latest chips. Even cheapo SoC's for TVs with android all have that now

  • Please show us proof of code in the Linux kernel and in FreeBSD kernel that would suggest Linux is more susceptible to exploits. How about explaining SELinux to us and the equivalent in FreeBSD and how they compare. If you can't, why make assertions of things you should have the self awareness to know you don't know and understand?

  • I turned on my TV that usually auto boots to my onn Android box with projectivity launcher. The new Roku homescreen is trash. They've increased ads by like 5x. This is an 8 year old TV. 8 years ago there were no ads. Then a banner on the right side. Then they added a row up top. Now it's the majority of the home screen. Roku as an operating system no longer needs to exist
