Nice that general system performance is great even on the entry level snapdragon 4. Annoying that they still don't have av1 hardware decode on all of their latest chips. Even cheapo SoC's for TVs with android all have that now
Please show us proof of code in the Linux kernel and in FreeBSD kernel that would suggest Linux is more susceptible to exploits. How about explaining SELinux to us and the equivalent in FreeBSD and how they compare. If you can't, why make assertions of things you should have the self awareness to know you don't know and understand?
I turned on my TV that usually auto boots to my onn Android box with projectivity launcher. The new Roku homescreen is trash. They've increased ads by like 5x. This is an 8 year old TV. 8 years ago there were no ads. Then a banner on the right side. Then they added a row up top. Now it's the majority of the home screen. Roku as an operating system no longer needs to exist
I actually had one. Know no one else that did. I had hoped someday there'd be a great mobile solution for PC gaming that would come from windows phones. Ended up being Linux and Android running windows games being the portal for mobile PC gaming. Happy they fumbled mobile so hard. Same with fumbling the home theater OS center. Better Android than Windows

There's got to be a solid amount of internal belief that copilot doesn't have a future. They have no popular phone - no idea why they didn't continue making Android phones. That Android game store they announced still hasn't happened. No popular TV presence besides a limping along Xbox series console. People on windows aren't using copilot. Even Amazon has a better shot because of their echo and fire devices. Companies developing internal AI tools, don't know why they wouldn't base off a regularly updated stable of local AI models as they come out like Deepseek, Qwen, Kimi, whatever
Really should have just let people preorder to get ideas for day one demand. I expect after one major restock, the resale value tanks and things are normal in gamepad land again. I'm always annoyed with these companies not taking backorders. They did that with the Deck. It's a controller sold by the company it's from sold in its store that has already had backorders done for the Deck launch. This isn't Nvidia and AIB partners. This is fully Valve controlled in a proven storefront. They could have handled this way better
I've never tried one because it's LCD but OLED upgrade is enticing. Don't care about processing power. More of a versatile ereader. So a 6-10" display that's pleasant enough on the eyes and still good with color and motion. Hopefully they'll be in stores to take a gander at next year

Yes it's expensive. High end snapdragon chips are like $300 for that one component and then now the memory will be of comparable price. Storage is expensive now too. Maybe even more expensive for what will come out this year. Foldables are expensive. Maybe they won't be someday. Motorola has mid range flip android phones. It'll be cool to see an Android vendor copy Huawei's foldable. That looks good. The Razr flip phones are good and their support policy is ok. Used practically new within half a year $500-$600 when they were $1300 when they first came out
