  • Oh no... anyways.

Fuck executives. Everything they touch goes to shit.

  • Oh man I forgot about them! One of these days I'm going to buy a dvd go through them all.

  • It was either Bill Nye or Schoolhouse Rock playing.

  • No

I was almost 14 years old when I lost my faith. I grew up in severe poverty, was severely depressed due to bullying and my weight, and I am LGBT. I found a website listing the inconsistencies in the Bible. I attempted to show my grandmother, who proceeded to laugh in my face. So I kept reading, then I came to a conclusion on my own.

The moment it finally "clicked" it honestly felt like a weight off my shoulders. Like I'd finally was free. My lack of faith hasn't waivered since then.

  • For my worldbuilding and writing to take off. I want to animate the history of my world, and it's something I want to do full time, but it's a lot of money + time investment. Also live somewhere that I'm not constantly looking over my shoulder. Shit neighbors suck.

  • They couldn't just shoot them? Use some sort of gas instead of raising the temperature? Literally no point in doing all that.

  • Agree with pretty much everything. If I have to fight just to do basic shit why should I bother with it? My tools of the trade don't work on it, a lot of my games don't work on it, and my computer itself might not work on it (also AMD here). There's no value to using it. Just a lot of headaches.

  • What are the implications of a cashless society? The only thing that comes to mind are increased government tracking and no way to buy things should computers / power go down.

I liked it. Not much happens story wise but I love exploring the lore and stuff of Pandora.

  • What the fuck?

  • Deleted all my comments and reddit accounts. Out of curiosity I browsed the front page. Literally nothing worth scrolling for. Inflammatory, rage bait, misleading headlines, repost bots, same content spammed to different subreddits. These blackout was just what I needed to break my dependence on it. Don't see no point in going back.

  • Never heard of Lemmy or the Fediverse until recent times.

  • The AMA has led some subreddits to not only go private early, but to also state that it would be indefinite until there were changes. /r/videos is the biggest one I know. So we'll probably have another wave if it gets bad enough / there is admin intervention.

  • Been on reddit for almost a decade. Watched it fall from a great website to the current day shithole. I'm relieved actually.

  • Looks like it's been here for a while (worldbuilding), just isn't that active.

  • Windows because my favorite games don't work on it and neither does any of Adobe's apps.I'm thinking about buying a used mac because I'll need it for crossplatform testing of apps.

  • Thanks. I'll check them out.

Wireless cameras that don't spy on you like Ring?

  • Takes some getting used to. But I love how the communities don't feel like an echo chamber.
