  • Last snow left of the season. This is what's left after a 7ft tall snow mound on my front lawn melted.

  • Now I want to play with a microscope...

  • It blew my mind when I found out how real wind sails worked.

You don't want the wind directly behind you. You're limited by the speed of the wind that way.

You want to ride the wind diagonally. This way you can go faster than the wind.

    Source: Valhiem. Haha.

  • And yet. Aluminum foil is a very anti cat material

  • When you have that many monitors they're literally just monitoring. 15 FPS is fine for that.

  • This is my #1 concern with this bullshit.

  • Yeah that's a planned feature update for outside but I don't think we'll get it in 9ur lifetime. We're stuck in a loop with developers chasing thier tails while publishers/stakeholders are enshittifying everything for profit.

What happened to the flying cars?? We barely have electric cars picking up market share!

  • This was my first thought.

    A circle filled with hexagons!

  • Just as we miss violet we get Taylor...

    Keep it coming

  • Yeah the remote connection to the local utility would be the obvious answer.

People with Nest systems can enroll into "Energy Saver" programs that start the AC at 3pm to cool the house early for the energy spike at 5pm when many get home from work. All you get is a minor credit per year.

If that shit works they can setup a system for solar.

  • I want those salt batteries to kick off for mass home storage. Less likely to explode like lithium.

  • I like this. No bullshit + CYA.

Only issue is someone stealing work to sell but there are other licenses for that.

  • Yeah what is this some "summer Lemmy" shit? Spring break stuff? Idk man. Most of Lemmy is older and this is grade school humor

Picked it up last sale for like 60% off.

Half single player and half with the wife. I'm just base building on solo and we quest together.

It's pretty fun going into a game with zero research (as in no player guides).

Learning to deal with surviving and efficiency. Always annoying when there is a easy solution to a problem (like start an open world to keep your base/gear between missions).

  • Because less and less people want to bring kids into a world that's spiraling down the drain.

Many people are struggling to live day to day with expenses going towards housing, food, healthcare and work essentials (car/phone/utilities).

It's also harder to meet someone due to the lack of social community. Dating apps make relationships a commercial product and take all the romance out of it.

Then you can buy a little cute furry animal that will love you unconditionally with minimal effort. Part of the reason is for emotional support because without it your life is mainly an endless cycle of live to work instead of work to live.

  • Yeah but nothing you do changes major events. It's pretty on rails.

You can replay it just to get different conversations though.

  • Even if you go full privacy focused with a locked down phone and a dumb car flock cameras are tracking your plate, scanners are tracking the tire sensors in your wheels and phones need IMEI tower connections so all that is logged.
