  • If that was in the states the ambulance would push cars if needed. That's also if the cars wouldn't have been towed away first.

Most towing companies are brutal and friendly with cops.

  • Shit I didn't know about this. I wonder if there are any funds that won't buy into this crap.

  • Those inactivity fees for store cards should be illegal.

Only valid if it's a credit card generic one.

  • That's exactly what I thought when I saw this. Exhibition performance.

Also doing those movements would be a hell of a workout.

  • That one is too on the nose. I don't see the blues using it in speeches.

  • As a reminder to myself that the cake I want is a few sessions worth of exercise

  • Yeah I stopped drinking vitamins and oddly just started drinking more water yesterday

  • I woke up lazily as I do on Sundays.

Got a charlie horse as I was stretching in bed. Waited it out silently as to not wake the wife. I've had them before. Nothing new.

Went away. Leg is now sore. I flexed my legs a bit to test it out. Hurts a bit as I gently flex it.

Then the other leg got a Charlie horse.

It came sharp and fast. I tense up flex the first leg too fast. Flinch the new Charlie horse when it's at its peak.

Fucking pain makes me spasm and I yelp in pain.

Wait it out. Now I gotta do errands feeling like I did squats for hours yesterday.

    Oddly didn't wake the wife.

  • I know a few people that live in rural USA and tap the ground for free water. Waste water from shower goes on random land and brown water into septic and get emptied when full.

Super cheap compared to my city water.

On the flip side they have complete shit internet access while I got fiber.

They have to drive a ways (1 hr) for groceries and I got like 5 within 10in drive. Hell I could walk 20min to a convenience store or two.

  • This is it. People have always paid for convenience.

Just look at console vs PC gaming.

Steamdeck made Linux gaming mainstream because it's brainless. Backed by proton.

But console has a vice grip on some communities / groups due to a long standing "plug and play" sales pitch. Now they're stuck because "my friends are there."

My brother-in-law is a sysadmin and stuck on Playstation due to his friends. Doesn't even own a gaming PC because "he doesn't have the time to tinker."

  • 100% correct. You need a wall adapter. As many have said we all recommend a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) or battery backup for your stack.

You can get the cheapest one if it's just short term outage or brown outs (grid low volting).

Based on your wattage the capacity of the UPS will dictate how long it'll last during an outage.

  • The owning class is doing everything possible to push AI into everything. All towards cutting costs towards profits by ultimately cutting out all human elements possible from **everything. ** Meaning not paying people less, but removing those jobs entirely.

And they predict the wealth gap will widen?

    Fucking Nostradamus over here.

  • You have a 3.5" based HDD (aka desktop drive). many people use 2.5" drives (laptop drives) since they get power from the PC with just usb

  • Yeah. I found a silly article about some kid making a submarine turtle.

Found the source and posted that instead with a real fking title instead of the regurgitated article/title.

  • A big issue could be technical debt.

It takes work to prepare something for "other eyes"

I'd hope for some effort from game devs that give a shit about keeping thier work alive. But for a "finished" game to go back and do the work could get tricky.

Yes you could just release docs and info but it's not that easy sometimes.

  • Its a fancy scarecrow.

  • And the only way to prevent this would have been keeping it away from managers eyes.

Only the AI team should have access to that data. Maybe a separate "efficiency" data team can crunch numbers on completed tasks vs tokens.

Never let managers or end users see a chart of token usage. That's just stupid.

This is just going to burn compute even more on LLM crap for no reason. Just burn it all down.
