    For example, I think the Palestinians has every right to stand up against the tyranny of the state of Israel. There are plenty of ways to stand up against tyranny without supporting terrorism.

    I am never going to condone war crimes and atrocities just because it's happening to "the other side".

  • I am running qwen 3.5 locally using llama.cpp on 8gb of VRAM and 16 gigs of RAM. It works well enough with a 4B to 9B parameter model along with quantization and MTP. More optimizations are on the way with turboquant and possibly other tech.

    It's just there to assist me, not do all the work, so I am happy as long as I can self host it.

    I can't say how well my specs would work in a professional setting but for personal use a MacBook should be sufficient in my opinion.

  • It's crazy that they ran out so fast! I managed to get two controllers in my basket 30 seconds after release but I wasn't able to pay until more than an hour later because Steam was getting hammered. It seems like I kept my place in line tho because my controllers have left the distribution center.

    I hope everyone that wants a controller can get one! I am so excited to finally get my hands on it. I have been waiting for dual sticks with touch pads since 2015 when they released the first one.

    You understand that you can use CAD files to make custom internal components too, right? It's not only for making skins or cosmetic surface changes.

    You can 3D print an entire new shell for the controller but replacing the shell requires that you remove all of the components to then put them back in to the new shell. And that I would consider advanced. Not recommended for people that do not know what they are doing.

  • You don't need to open the shell and access the internals if you are making a controller sweater and it wouldn't void your warranty. That is not what Valve is warning about. They ask you to not fuck with the internals unless you know what you are doing.
