  • I’m obviously not acting like you’re the “bad guy” here or anything, just wanting clarification: what about Indigenous religions that typically call for a certain level of respect for the land and (in some cases) people of the land. I think that religion is a natural response for humans seeking answers to the unanswerable.Idk, I’m sorta just positing the idea that maybe you’re more against Organized Religion, as opposed to the practice itself.

  • I REALLY HEAVILY considered becoming Muslim (born and raised Catholic in USA) after I learned about a bunch of atrocities in the Middle East and being at a horrible point in my life AND admittedly wanting to LARP as a different kind of Cis-het White Guy in the USA. I wanted something different but I’ve ultimately become an atheist with heavy sympathies towards Catholics and Muslims. Call it basic, but I’ve come to terms with it. A lot better than when I was a little kid and had a vague view of Muslims as weird or bad because everyone on TV said Muslims were Osama Bin Laden. I can’t express enough how much I regret these feelings but I’d be outright lying if I said I wasn’t born out of Islamophobic beliefs as someone born in the early 2000s

  • Well the only one I know about is Baldur’s gate 3. One of my best friends is gay and he was ecstatic about how many different characters you could ahem “romance”😂good for him, more power to ya, right? But ultimately it’s a no from me. I couldn’t get into the gameplay myself. But I now have a positive opinion on the game just bc it made my friend happy lol

  • Nice! I used to play quite a bit of Rocket League w my friend. There’s a certain boost animation you can use that looks like C💧M spraying, it’s especially funny after you win a match, when they show the winners, to spin around and start hitting the boost button. People get so mad about it😂😂

  • I recently read some of the book “Chinese Revolution of 1945-49” by Michael Lynch (I believe, not sure tho) and the shit I learned about ROC/KMT was SOOO bad, like they were funded by Hitler (before he allied w Japan)to kill Communists and when they fled to Taiwan they killed several thousand indigenous Taiwanese people who weren’t serving any threat to them whatsoever. I didn’t even read the full thing yet so I still have more horrors to discover

  • I wish it could be that easy, social democracy is easy to explain and works in a way that isn’t very complex, it’s easy to understand and put in practice which is more than you can say for Marxism (much love to Marx and Engels and Lenin, but it does ANYTHING but appeal to the lowest common denominator), but the unfortunate reality is that these people (good people who strive for equality, no matter how you feel about Soc-Dems) will be voted out eventually and Fascists will be put in their place to make up for the lack of record-breaking quarterly earnings for private companies. As soon as they have their chance, they’ll be much more unfair to the SocDems than the SocDems SHOULD HAVE BEEN to said Fascists.
