  • Maybe that's where our timeline spit. If Blue Oyster Cult had a lute in Don't Fear The Reaper...

  • I always said I'd consider having a kid when it didn't sound like an 18 year prison sentence without the possibility of parole. All that's changed for me in the decades that I've been saying that is that the odds of the kids moving out around age 18 has plummeted.

These days, at least once a month, either my wife or I will turn to the other and say, "I'm really glad we never had kids." Even my mother, who always wanted grandkids, has even said she's glad we didn't have any.

  • Is it weird that I hope David Warner was also puppeting/voicing The Count?

  • Pssh! Lefties always getting special treatment and righties always getting a handout, while us middles always miss out.

  • That's how I felt for the first half of TNG and the first couple episodes of DS9. But Armin Shimerman, Aron Eisenberg, and Max Grodenchik brought so much depth to the Ferengi that it became a real joy to see plots focus on them.

  • For years now, and that article floating around about not being to google "disregard" anymore (because it breaks the AI) may have me switching to a Duo package soon.

The results are great. Lenses and personalized results are well worth the $10 on their own. Privacy pass is (IMO) a priceless insurance policy.

  • What kind of monster doesn't wear black shorts and a tuxedo tee to a wedding?

  • Presumably the lever is controlling the real trolley problem being run next door.

  • What do you do when courts start to decide that you actively and willingly give children PTSD to make them psychologically addicted to a your trauma feed? Hire Momfluencers, of course.

  • I degoogled as a Covid project. Mostly it just made me feel a little bit better... and then GenAI hit. Hopefully I'll go my whole life without ever having used Gemini. And hopefully, if they ingested any of my pre-pandemic emails, photos, docs, etc to train with, pulling it out of cold storage will at least have cost them extra time and money.

  • How could anyone limit themselves to 50 posts on apartheid-fan-boi.facist?

  • I've spent 20 something years ostensibly working 9 - 5. But most of those years I've also on call for server downtime, and crunch-time is sometimes a thing.

  • Wow. Very much the same. I always ate in order of texture, from worst to best. Now my favorite meals are things I generously call "burrito bowls", when they're just a bunch of stuff that tastes good together, mixed together.

The Jetsons promised me single pills that were full meals. Where are my meal pills?

  • Are they going to remake that 1 mobile billboard that's been doing laps of the LV Strip for at least 30 years, with the same 3 bikini-clad women?

  • We should encourage kids to smoke to deal with their stress.

  • Quick! Someone call Tendi.

  • What about Kai Winn? She called everyone her child.

  • Hey!

    Jump
  • Man, I really need to do a rewatch. I just looked up Vic Fontaine and he's introduced later in the series than I remember.
