  • They're not as expensive as you'd think anymore. Yeah, real good one is a few grand, but you get into the mid 3 digit range and you can still get a pretty alright one.

  • Short term, the insulation will just make you itchy where it touched your skin. Protective gear is great, but just take a shower and wash your clothes. Don't half-ass it and just wash your arms, solid chance you'll wake up in the middle of the night and wonder why you're so itchy.

  • I'm on your side man, but this is one of the tactics trolls/propaganda bots use. It's called sealioning if I remember right. The idea is to shut down discussion by shifting the burden to the other side asking for "sources" while contributing nothing to the discussion. Real easy to ask for sources, harder to provide and explain them.

It sucks that this is where we are.

  • It feels real weird to think of a republican controlled government nationalizing a business, feels like not doing that is one of their core tenets. Hypocrisy is not rare obviously, but it would be interesting.

  • It's even worse, the structure we have actively discourages them from doing so. Fiduciary responsibility is thrown up as a reason for a lot of things like this and knowingly picking an option that is less profitable on paper even if it's obviously better long term is inviting questions.

  • Either way, kinda interested.

  • I'm interested in what happens to it as it moves through the digestive system.

There are some incredibly hazardous waste products that are very difficult and expensive to dispose of.

  • They're just less interesting and maybe that's good enough. The way the fediverse is architected makes it especially susceptible to bots.

  • They also give you cool stickers with your laptop and that's all I really want.

  • It's like a cubit, it changes depending on who's in charge.

  • As an american, I am 100% onboard on switching entirely to measuring things in terms of pickup trucks.

  • It does look close to PCBs you'd see in random key fobs but I think solid chance it's a prop (or AI). If you look close and of course we do only see one side but a lot of the things you'd expect to see are missing. What could this do, how does it interact or connect to things, whats up with those traces and why are they going there, who made this and why is nothing labeled? None of that is definitive, but it's weird to have that many questions like those on a real PCB.

  • I've got one of those too, have they fixed the sleep state/idle power with linux on those things yet?

  • It's 8th grade boys, they wouldn't bother if they couldn't find some way to make it an innuendo.

  • For warmer climates, they're generally probably better off if you can ignore the cortisol/stress of climactic shifts you and this article mentioned. The theory I've heard thrown around is that in general the warmth acts as a natural vasodilator.

  • You're not on a bad track, but for me, better results are usually from doing more to define goals into actionable items instead of focusing on a non-specific end result. I'd switch gears and do something to define the 'how' while giving yourself a reasonable out if your goals just aren't aligned, something like "I'm going to go talk to the local homeless shelter and see if they need any help I could provide".

  • At a certain point, what other options are there.

  • As a Factorio player, what's more beautiful than an endless concrete sprawl.

  • Exactly, great for things like recipes too, they've created an amazing path to making nearly every SEO strategy worthless. I don't need to read your grandma's biography to find out how you make sourdough bread. And usually, when it is wrong it's very wrong, so if it's an area you have a base level of knowledge in it's fairly easy to pick out the inconsistencies.
