Migrating here (or maybe keeping both) from @ArcaneSlime@lemmy.ml

Will put an eternal curse on your enemies for a Cinemageddon invite.

  • Ah I see. Well like I said idk what blackmail they may or may not have been historically using, but as for why we're still doing it I stand by my answer. I'm willing to bet that a portion of it was sympathy for the holocaust at a certain point and then blackmail took over, but that still doesn't explain pre-'30s zionist support from the UK (like the aforementioned Balfour Declaration).

  • Well damn! News to me! Looks like they also sold A&W and picked up something called Habit Burger.

  • Maybe, but it's still owned by Yum! Foods Inc. afaik who also own Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, A&W, and KFC, so maybe it's just on razor thin margins lol.

  • Well the UK actually started it with the Balfour Declaration and a Rothschild (perhaps unsurprisingly) before WW2.

I also assumed we were talking about today not in 1917, and idk what blackmail they may or may not have been using back then.

  • Not the point I know but:

Australia....had forced buyback in the 90s after the port shooting....60% turn in rate, 1mil owned arms by civs...today 3+Mil firearms owned by citizens in Australia...so did it really work? Or did society get less violent because of the education and safety nets that Australia has?

No the buyback wasn't actually that effective as you noted, crime was already declining before the ban and as you noted number of guns increased since. Similarly in the US gun ownership (both % of gun owners and # of guns) have increased and violent crime of all kinds have decreased in the US in the same time. I "blame" surveillance states and probably stuff like taking the lead out of gas, personally. Also the same style buyback in the US would be monumentally expensive, not effective because of resistance, and not effective because of lack of social safety nets (listed separately on purpose.)

  • This is also definitely the first guy with a secluded location, and the only current one.

  • Well, Mossad and also their tech companies (very slight difference there lol) are actually very good, so we have to buy spyware from them like palantir or else we can't intrusively peer into the lives of everyone on earth on a mass scale, and Mossad also just happens to have pedobytes (pun intended) of video data showing our leaders fucking children on some random island totally random yes so they're able to blackmail the US into being their little bitch. That's it.

  • "Eh, after we rebrand to Donbasland, is easy сука."

  • Hey stop listening to my conversations, that was in private!

Seriously though that happened to me lol. Had an ex ask "what were your worst sexual encounters" and she literally had to tell me those were all sexual assault (on me not by me).

One of them would legally be rape if she was a guy (maybe two actually) but in my state women can't be charged with rape and even if they could good luck convincing a jury that I wasn't actually "lucky" or I'm not "secretly gay" and she was hot so I "must have enjoyed it" anyway.

  • Tbf if I'm invited to a whites only party to discuss "white interests" like idk Ultimate Frisbee and Mayonnaise or whatever "white interests" would be, I'm probably not going even if it is "self segregation" so it's "better" than if the government did it. I mean you're not wrong, letting the people choose to be racist instead of enforcing it through law is "better" I guess but imo we should strive for more. I don't think we can actually fix society's ills until society can sit in a room together and talk, y'know? Idk I guess I just like diversity more than sameness.

  • Well tbf it is in their sidebar and a mod has to comment in every single fucking post because it's super easy to not look at the community when reading a post and nobody on mobile is reading a damn sidebar.

I will say at least when a guy wanders in accidentally the mods (not anyone else though) are nice about it, even if I do fundamentally disagree with the concept of their group (I don't like X-only, like if we had a "men only" comm I'd have the same opinion on it) and the placement of it (on a site without invite only private groups, it should be a Delta Chat group or something instead if you don't want people wandering in) and also the execution (who knows if I'm a man or a woman unless I say "as a man" in my posts? This is a pseudononymous forum, for all you know I'm three 8yo girls in a trenchcoat with a fake moustache. It seems mostly based on vibes, which is an option I guess) but whatever I can't stop discriminatory shit when they do it just as I can't when some dude does it to them, all I can control is not being a discriminatory dickhead myself, it's on them if they want to be bad people (the royal them/they).

  • Tbh even if they figure it out (and they should, not everyone is me) I probably won't use it often, I like the extra layer of security having to type my LUKS pass to unlock the FDE then my User pass, just in case. Plus as you noted it starts plenty fast already at under 30sec, it's not a 5min boot like windows on my old laptop.

  • I mean, even that isn't going to work, there'll be ways around it. "Old" printers, 3rd party firmware, jailbroken printers, etc. Life uh, finds a way.

  • Your assumption maybe, but the meme is lambasting men who complain about lack of sex from their wife when in reality their failure to help parenting is the cause, that's not "assuming all intimacy issues are caused by women refusing to give sex to men," it's actually closer to the opposite (though the meme doesn't say all either, it implies that it at least happens sometimes but not all.)

Many other commenters have also noted that not all physical intimacy is sex, it can be as simple as cuddling up on the couch vs sitting on the opposite side as far away as one can (literally an example pulled from another comment in this thread), and noted that it isn't just "when baby" it can be a years long pattern even if you do everything right and have nothing to do with babby at all. One commenter even noted that it wasn't her husband's fault and he did his job but breastfeeding itself affected her libido. You are the one in here refusing to accept that anything beyond your preconceived notions could possibly be true, and that is why you're being "mass downvoted," not because of whatever victim fantasy you've concocted in your mind. I hope you get the help you need.

  • This is hilarious watching you crash out ngl. I never said anything of the sort, meanwhile your response to "but what if the man actually does pull his weight and there's still intimacy issues" was "boo hoo coins sex" bullshit. Sorry to inform you but not every man is your ex husband haha.

  • Women aren’t capable of caring for and making their partners safe and appreciated??

Says the one assuming all intimacy issues are caused by male failure lmao. Wow your ass on outta here with that shit, "generalizations for me but not for thee." What's the line again, "If it doesn't apply to you I wasn't talking about you?"

  • "Physical intimacy is only sex nothing else, and men who want physical intimacy in an intimate relationship are the problem."

    • You.
  • Better than "appeal to nuh-uh." You've put forth nothing of an argument beyond "you quoted the wrong name in the article." Which has been resolved, yet you still screech "nuh-uh" at the heavens. Forgive me if you're less than convincing.
