Migrating here (or maybe keeping both) from @ArcaneSlime@lemmy.ml

Will put an eternal curse on your enemies for a Cinemageddon invite.

  • Ahh I get it, knead, it's a stress ball, or cube as it were. I mean tbh looks like a fine stress ball but sounds like it's having the opposite effect so far lol.

  • Hell those people use an iPhone and nothing else lmao.

What the ever living fuck is a Nee-dough lmao.

  • Yeah but what I think you're missing here is that "that's stupid." We can still call those people stupid for being stupid, when they complain about stupid things. As we're all doing currently. The difference is he thinks users should care about important things instead, you've given up on that, and I still don't actually give a shit either way.

(Tbf also I do agree with him users should often get gud, and I say this as a user, I'm only a "dev" if writing personal bash scripts using copied stack overflow for loops I don't fully understand counts. I do also agree with you in that they're probably not likely to get gud, but I still think it would be good if they did.)

  • I mean I get where he's coming from, it shouldn't, just use the damn program and don't focus so hard on the name which in all honesty does not matter where functionality does.

But also people complain on this one because A) Sex is icky and everyone is a Puritan and B) it has been used as a slur in the past I guess. It's almost like naming an RNG tool "Free Auto Generator" or something.

    Personally idgaf.

  • There’s only 1 Caesar

Julius or Augustus? Or Edward Swallow, Ave, trve to Caesar!

Caesar is actually a title, and where the German word Kaiser and the Russian word Czar came from.

Slim Shady is a rap name, it's probably copyrighted tbh.

Charlamagne the God or Charlemagne the King/Emporer?

  • Though one would expect such technically inclined users to install the OS themselves. When I bought my 16 I bought "no OS" because while Fedora (which I knew would be installed) was an option I wanted FDE and so I chose to install it myself. It's possible many of these were first time linux users who wanted the savings but also the ease of buying with a pre-installed OS.

  • I'm with you on this one (and that is exactly what I did lol).

I want to divorce everything I can from my phone (might get a DAP too), I can't run GrapheneOS on that and phone security is more important to me than phone camera, my camera can be connected to Wifi and bluetooth but more importantly can not be if I want (while by nature the phone needs at least CDMA to "phone," and it's more realistic to never enable wireless on a Fujifilm than on a phone). Also fwiw there's something that just feels different about shooting on a mirrorless/DSLR than a phone, I don't think I can physically describe it though.

I will say this camera is probably fantastic and seems to have interchangeable lenses, but for my use case I'd still have to have my phone-phone and then my camera-phone so it'd still be two devices. I could see why it would be a preferred choice for some people though. Also if I'm carrying the phone+lenses, I'd still have to have a camera bag, and my camera fits in my camera bag already. Sure I'd be able to fit more in there too but idk it's not like I could be sans bags.

  • I use my Flipper 0 which is overkill for just RFID FDX-A or FDX-B tags, you can prob get just an RFID reader for like $30.

  • Ah I see. Well like I said idk what blackmail they may or may not have been historically using, but as for why we're still doing it I stand by my answer. I'm willing to bet that a portion of it was sympathy for the holocaust at a certain point and then blackmail took over, but that still doesn't explain pre-'30s zionist support from the UK (like the aforementioned Balfour Declaration).

  • Well damn! News to me! Looks like they also sold A&W and picked up something called Habit Burger.

  • Maybe, but it's still owned by Yum! Foods Inc. afaik who also own Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, A&W, and KFC, so maybe it's just on razor thin margins lol.

  • Well the UK actually started it with the Balfour Declaration and a Rothschild (perhaps unsurprisingly) before WW2.

I also assumed we were talking about today not in 1917, and idk what blackmail they may or may not have been using back then.

  • Not the point I know but:

Australia....had forced buyback in the 90s after the port shooting....60% turn in rate, 1mil owned arms by civs...today 3+Mil firearms owned by citizens in Australia...so did it really work? Or did society get less violent because of the education and safety nets that Australia has?

No the buyback wasn't actually that effective as you noted, crime was already declining before the ban and as you noted number of guns increased since. Similarly in the US gun ownership (both % of gun owners and # of guns) have increased and violent crime of all kinds have decreased in the US in the same time. I "blame" surveillance states and probably stuff like taking the lead out of gas, personally. Also the same style buyback in the US would be monumentally expensive, not effective because of resistance, and not effective because of lack of social safety nets (listed separately on purpose.)

  • This is also definitely the first guy with a secluded location, and the only current one.

  • Well, Mossad and also their tech companies (very slight difference there lol) are actually very good, so we have to buy spyware from them like palantir or else we can't intrusively peer into the lives of everyone on earth on a mass scale, and Mossad also just happens to have pedobytes (pun intended) of video data showing our leaders fucking children on some random island totally random yes so they're able to blackmail the US into being their little bitch. That's it.

  • "Eh, after we rebrand to Donbasland, is easy сука."
