  • Sinema was actually in the Green party before becoming a Democrat. There was a time where her being a Leftist was believable.

  • In my experience, no. Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian people are all below "white people" and above most other "non-whites" in their racial hierarchy. I think white supremacists usually give them bonus points for being European so its not as virulent a hatred as with other groups, but it's still there.

  • Ente.

  • I've only owned it for about a year now, although I do use it at least once a day and often several times. I'm not sure if I would say it is worth the money, I don't regret buying it and enjoy using it, but it's also very expensive. Justifying the stupid price to myself wasn't very hard since I use a kettle daily and money isn't tight. You can get a kettle that functions identically but perhaps isn't quite as nice in the hand and save yourself some cash if your priority is cost-efficiency.

  • I have a Stagg EKG Pro Studio. It heats up quickly, you can set it to whatever temp you want, it feels good in the hand and well balanced. I don't really have any complaints about it so far. The only problem I've run into was a result of user error - if you fill it up all the way you have to be careful when pouring so water doesn't come out of the vent in the lid. The only real drawback is the cost. It was stupid expensive.

  • Things you can play with.

  • You could tax tires, it avoids all the tracking while still distributing road maintenance costs based off actual use of the roads.

  • I don't, I quit Facebook almost a decade ago and then Reddit when they did the API bullshit. I do still end up on Reddit sometimes through search results but I nuked my account and will never create another one. I'm not exactly a purist about FOSS or decentralized platforms but corpo social media is dead to me.

  • There is a balance though or else the system feedback breaks the economy. Too much deflation and the "progress" stops because it starts making more and more sense for people to hold off on spending their money as much as they can. As an extreme example, if you know you can buy twice as much of something for the same dollar tomorrow, you must really need that thing right now to justify not waiting for a day. Scale that behavior across the entire population and it can start producing real problems.

  • As far as I'm aware there's not really a feasible path to miniaturization for most of the current medical scanning technologies. Physics and materials science are fundamental barriers.

  • It depends on what the extraterrestrials are like. I think its probable they would be as incomprehensible to us as we are to fish or bugs. I am confident that a significant percentage of people will immediately freak out and react with aggression regardless of what they are like, and that the wealthy will be looking for any way to make money from them, even if it means selling out life on earth.

  • Walgreens once gave me the wrong prescription, which I didn't notice until after I already taken some. It was some weird drug for schizophrenics or something like that and it totally fucked me up to the point I had to take off work for the day. Instead of apologizing or trying to make the situation right the Walgreens pharmacist was a total asshole to me and tried to blame me for what happened, they acted like I had stolen someone else prescription instead of them fucking up and poisoning me.

  • Which country? Consumer fuel prices have been subsidized to artificially suppress them in a number of places, Brazil for example. The profits are still being made but the rise in prices is being shifted onto the public via govt. debt so it gets paid through future taxes instead of showing up immediately at the pump.

  • I remember when they were calling it "Plandemic" and insisted liberals were trying to turn the US into a dictatorship. Funny how it all worked out and yet nothing was learned.

  • Somewhere between $90 and $120.

  • 8 to 10 is ideal. Below 5 or 6 is not ripe. Above 10 is banana bread territory.

  • Do you consider the cartels to be corporations? They operate like corporations but exist without the sanction of governments.

  • Mostly no. If you are in a VHCOL area and have a lot of financial obligations, like a large family to support for example, it's really not that much. Outside those circumstances its enough income to support a middle class lifestyle in any developed country on earth.

  • ARR is around 30b, valuation is over 800b.
