  • thought I was going to get an actual ASD assessment from a psychiatrist last year and they hit me with this same shit. He then proceeded to waste my time in an effort to convince me to switch to him for my care. Fat chance.

  • From what I’ve seen, if a local municipality isn’t down to let you put up a node, people will usually erect a pole at the best spot the legally can. Used radio towers become hot commodities in the right areas

  • I appreciate your apology and hope you’re having a good day today

  • Yeah, I suppose you’re right

  • Nah you’re right, I was mid-first cup. HDMI, usbc dp are both potential options to use video out. I’ve been corrected. Rude as fuck way to do that though.

  • I’m afraid if the display is actually dead then most of the options to keep the laptop computing will likely be “too nerdy” for you. Pretty much all of them will involve using it as a headless server.

  • You use the laptop to run the server that dishes up the content for the client devices that have working displays to watch on

  • the same thing happened to me with Suikoden 2. My dad bought a copy off eBay, not knowing it was a 2 disc game so I never got to finish it. Naturally I had to buy it when 1 & 2 were rereleased.

  • Ipads and iphones are also capable of mounting external drives and some apps will let you choose them for data storage, so it's possible.

  • Nope. It was pretty normal for multi disc games. Once you got so far, the game would give you a "insert disc X" screen," where you'd hot swap the discs and keep playing. I remember FF on PSX doing this.

  • Happy to help!

Another helpful hint, grab a 8mm wrench for tightening the nut on the sma to secure it to the case. Finger tightening will leave it able to spin in the hole while screwing on the antenna

  • I bought the same antenna for my t deck plus! Pretty happy with it.

I agree with the other poster, the Plus model comes with a small whip antenna, both of mine came with the same one. They likely sent you the wrong model.

If you don't want to hassle with a return (understandable given the time shipping takes for these) you can crak that bad boy open and attach a ufl to female sma pigtail like this https://www.waveform.com/products/sma-female-to-u-fl-pigtail-adapter-v2?srsltid=AfmBOorizL-HpE3bSg8TVlHToLh4av4USvaYiEYVKjVFdBmFUdMtTqbd but to be on the safe side do a search for sma types, there's several img references that will help. You really just need to make sure your antenna does or doesn't have the inside pin and buy the appropriate corresponding sma connector with a ufl pigtail on the other end.

I bought 2, with 5dbi antennas included, off Amazon a while back bc I wanted to add an external gps antenna to my first one. Word of warning if the case still has the little punchouts for external antenna, they are hard to cut out and make rounded enough for the sma to slip through.

I used model nippers and a round sanding stick to get the sma through that hole and it still ended to cracking the small ring of plastic on the case. It doesn't affect performance at all and the sma connector is solidly in place, but it can happen.

  • I don’t know the specifics, but I know it’s another option in LORA comms. Works with much of the same equipment as Meshtastic. It has a different way of handling messages that does seem to handle congestion better than busy/uncoordinated areas of Meshtastic networks.

I personally am not as interested in it bc of the lack of node options compared to MT, and parts of it are proprietary. Some admin features also seem to be paywalled in one of the primary app options. Iirc android has a few other app options for node companionship
