It's really bizzare to me that the only takeaway most people are getting is "humans are inherently better than other animals by merit of being human, so any comparison you make to another animal is offensive" and not "maybe repeated forcible impregnation for someone's entire life so I can have an unnecessary food product is a fucked up thing to do". That's the bit that stands out the most I would think?

Humans aren't more important than animals unless you strongly believe might makes right, which I'd hope you don't. Just because you can do something to other animals doesn't mean you should.

As far as I'm concerned, at the bare minimum anyone who thinks certain kinds of people shouldn't exist is a bad person. The right wing of the political spectrum is very interested in ensuring only the "right" kinds of people get to exist, or at least exist freely.

Hostage, it was a mediocre to decent Bruce Willis action flick about teenagers holding a family for ransom. It's been a long time since I saw it, but I remember one of the villains being incredibly unsettling and disturbing throughout.
