  • If their statements were true, they should have no issue releasing the complete and unedited body cam footage, from entry to exit — at the very least, screening it to reputable independent journalists and the ICC.

    Name one military in the world that releases complete and unedited body cam footage from special forces raids. Do you understand how absurd that is?

A high ranking Hamas official is killed in a shootout with special forces inside al-Shifa Hospital, and "unnamed" sources immediately start talking to Al Jazeera about how this guy was responsible for securing aid.   • Hamas is not a poor organization, they have many revenue sources including taxes, crime, direct payments from friendly Arab countries, and pilfered aid money. More money for Hamas isn't going to be the difference maker that puts them on the same level as the military of Israel.

    And then Anthony Blinken can sort of shrug and say “Well we can always talk about a cease-fire, if you’re worried about things getting violent. How does that sound? They already said they’d be okay with that.”

    This is just a fantasy of yours, and quite a strange one tbh.

  • That's a different scenario. If someone is slowly advancing, non lethal tools can be used. When someone is charging full speed, they can't.

  • In some cases they can, but here the officer was charged and the attacker was able to get very close, another second and the officer could have been hit and then who knows what would happen. The footage shows a very clear threat.

  • The most interesting part of the Maxwell case to me is her decision to remain in the US for so long. She has British and French citizenship, and France infamously does not extradite their own citizens. I wonder what went on behind the scenes to make her stay, or if she just believed she was untouchable.

  • BYD is definitely impressive, but they have the backing of the Chinese state. On the other hand, Tesla is a targeted company. Look at the history of Tesla's regulatory battles at all levels and it's unbelievable how they have consistently come out on the other side.
