I’m moving off kbin to lemmy, so I won’t be posting from here (unless kbin social gets it together).

  • The fact that we’re sitting here theorizing where Ernest is like he’s Kate Middleton is why this can’t be a one-man operation anymore. It’s too much for one person to begin with, and when people have no idea what’s going on, they’ll start going wild with theories as to what’s going on.

  • That’s about where I am, honestly. I’m starting to look for alternatives.

    I can deal with the site having the occasional problem, but I can’t deal with absolutely no communication at all when things break down. Kbin has gotten too big to be a one-person operation.

    This is now the fourth post I’ve seen about people starting to get fed up, and honestly, you know people are starting to hit their limits once people start making posts about their frustrations. I bet a lot of folks have just quietly given up or moved to lemmy or mbin because they’ve gotten frustrated with all the issues.

    I’m a pretty patient person and can put up with a lot of goofiness on a site, as long as there’s some kind of communication happening. But there’s none.

  • From what I heard, they were dropping from four companions to three, Mass Effect style, and wanted the combat to be more like God of War. So my fear is it’s gonna be like Andromeda, where you can’t control your companions’ abilities at all.

  • I don’t actually mind stuff not getting seen, it’s more not knowing if the site is going to error out when I try to look at it or check replies. Trying to access the site, or trying to upvote things, and getting error messages that are less than useful gets old fast.

  • I really like kbin, but honestly, with as unstable as it is and how little information is coming out about what’s going on (seriously, there needs to at least be a Mastodon account we can check for updates or information when kbin social is down), I’m seriously considering making a lemmy account and moving over. It’s frustrating, because I do really prefer kbin, but this is beyond frustrating.

  • Dude is literally the same color as I am, a light-skinned Black person, going by the picture, and yes, I’ve had clerks follow me in stores and white women clutch their purses when I pass, and every man in my family, all of whom are that color, have a “being pulled over by the cops” story, so I’m not exactly sure what you’re trying to do here.

  • I’m not really surprised. Nintendo tends to run on its own schedule. They also might be hoping the yen strengthens so it won’t cost them as much to produce new consoles. Knowing Nintendo, they’ll want to have enough in stock to not have supply problems like Sony did with the PS5.
