  • for some context, there was a bug where the cookie wasn't being set properly. so it's likely you were logged in and the incorrect cookie value was set, and logging out and back in fixed it.

  • sorry about the delayed response to this, but just to clear out any confusion, we (lemmy.ca) don't have our own app or apk to download. i'm guessing that you probably just added a home screen shortcut to our website possibly?

anyways, as others have said, there's a bunch of different lemmy apps for android, there's a nice overview of them here, and you can filter by various things, etc: https://www.lemmyapps.com/

i would recommend against any of the discontinued apps, however.

  • hey! thanks for the offer to help. feel free to offer to help mod any communities, and if there's any local communities here that look unmoderated, let us know! that would be a good start.

  • i'm just guessing at this point, but if you send just the login command to the bot, it sounds like it should give you some options on how to login? what are the options it gives you in response, if anything? and have you tried any of them?

  • have you followed the instructions here?

    https://docs.mau.fi/bridges/python/telegram/authentication.html

    this section specifically mentions:

Telegram officially discontinued registration from 3rd party clients as of 2023-02-18, so support for it was removed in v0.13.0 of the bridge. You should sign up using a mobile client and then log into the bridge.

so not sure if that's the issue you're running into (the timing matches up, anyways).

i've never used the telegram bridge myself, but i have other bridges running successfully.

  • on the Sopranos wikipedia page it clearly says the theme song is by "Alamaba 3". Reading the article, it says:

The show's opening theme is "Woke Up This Morning" (Chosen One Mix), written by, remixed and performed by British band Alabama 3.

With no references of Cohen anywhere. So a good chunk of the internet is wrong. Thus why AI shows conflicting information too.

  • We received a few of these at work and they indeed looked legit, according to the headers.

i think what's happening is intuit offers some sort of online invoicing, and people are abusing that service to send phishing email's. similar to how people abuse some of PayPal's features to send legit looking email's, but with phishing links or phone numbers.

again, this is just a guess.

edit: oops, this is a 4 month old post, I should pay more attention to where I am haha.

  • yes, feel free to share the link! also for anybody new to lemmy / the fediverse, we have some guides to help people get started too.

  • yep we preemptively blocked that when we saw the news about their domain name.

  • it doesn't appear to be easy to do either of those, from some quick testing. Looks like the <p></p> tags have bottom spacing which is causing the issue, mainly, at least in lemmy's case. weird.

  • i think if you put less whitespace in between it will format a bit better?

    Announcement: Two new admins

  • I'd prefer it if you don't renew until we figure something else out. I know they had plans to start a non profit but not sure where that's at. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • if it's winter and really cold I'll let the car run for a bit before going. also have to clear ice/snow off the car sometimes too.

  • i think this is a great idea! i like the questions, as long as there's options for people who want to answer some but not all.
