  • Geographically speaking, I am not very far of from karachi, and can tell you first hand - outside temperatures are in high 40s, and we still have not reached peak summers. 2 years ago, 55C was recorded. the only somewhat saving grace is that moisture levels are not that high (<30% for most of the day). But people are dying just of heat strokes.

  • number 81 should not be Ti (that is short for titanium)

  • the for most parts and intents is not really a good distinctintion. i did not go into details, mostly because it is a unrelated thing, but for most things, you can gradually transition from liquid phase to gas phase, without a proper transition. this is called a super critical fluid. consider like this, ice in solid form is not really "miscible" in liquid form. gasses and liquids of same stuff can mix. a

  • yeah, i a am a bit ashamed

  • understandable, happens to the best of us

  • here is fun fact (fun is subjective)

liquid state is a lie. or more correctly, it is hard to distinguish liquid fluids from gas fluids (a textbook definition may say something like fluids shear, but gasses do to, it is just that it is almost negligible).

for most things, solid to gas happens, and solid to liquid happens under specific pressure conditions (generally higher)

  • (they were hinting at feds as in federal agencies, often used as a proxy for govts and 3 letter agencies, police forces, etc)

  • I kinda currently do sputtering for living, and it is still the most wonderful thing for me. a perfect representation of wave nature of light

  • well that is certainly a fleamarket in india (dare i say 'shani-bazzar'(or mangal, or budhh, or vir, or some other day, but these seem to be common ones))

  • I presume u do drums?

too much energy i can not sustain. I can tap on tables a bit.

I play harmonium, which is like piano, but a bit different

  • I am not sure if you remember me, but we did have a small chat before here (and in dms). Greetings.

I am sorry for all this and all I can say is life is too long, and as you say, law of large numbers, eventually things will line up for you. I had an episode a bit like yours (but shorter, and definitely not as hard as yours), going through a similar life on bed period. But things did turn around for me. I hope much better happens with you.

I get your situation regarding cousin and female friend. We live in a fucked up country don't we. I never even had female friends, mostly school/college mates, and in best cases we were on first name basis. But I do relate more with cousin situation. I wont go into specific, but our "culture and society" is definitely something.

Freecad (or cad in general) is a really great skill to have. You might not know or realise this yet, but a lot of jobs are studying how a system would fare, and simulating is almost always the prefered way. having a good cad model is definitely a good chunk of work. If you can somehow learn fem/fea/fdtd , you can also simulate physics of the system, and that can straight land some opportunities for you. In case you want to know of relevant software, please do hit the high seas.

Our environment is truly fucked. luckily in my "child"hood (about 7-8 years ago), I stopped going to parks because they kept getting shittier, and more and more of my friends had stopped playing cause of "studies".

“music is devil” is the only one i did not get. Maybe something reigonal? if it is about it just being a hobby and not a profession, that I get, but where I live, I certainly have not heard that. But that is so sad. I do happen to know how to play a instrument, but it is so big, I can basically carry it anywhere, and for about past 5 years, I started to whistle, as it is closest to having a instrument for me. Also great choice on instrument.

Sorry for writing this much, I almost always do a word vomit. I just want to say this, but don't know how to say this without sounding dishonest or like I do not mean it, but please feel free to reach in case you need anything. I do not know how can I be helpful to you, but please be hopeful.

  • article 15 is definitely a very solid film, like maybe my top 50, but i can not really recommend it to anyone, it is sad. Real, but sad.

  • gangs of wasseypur for the unaware (it is basically a 5 hour movie split into 2).

It is in top 5 all time.

  • i will not go into specific, but gnerally material science for aerospace stuff.

  • 10TiB in this economy? in brazil? mad respect. and honestly considering ram prices, a good investment. what is the power draw ? i have always considered that above lets say 2TB, it makes more sense to not buy more dense drives, as price does not go linearly, power draw sure goes linear, but then 1 drive is still 1 drive, it can fail. with 5 drives, 1 can be parity, but still have 8tb usable with some redundancy. SOrry if you did not want questions, i was just curious.

  • do you need some test readers?

  • Since I have given a spoiler of this news, i would not add too much build -

I got an offer letter for a doctorate (funded, the only correct option). It is from a really great school, and really happy.

Also I had some simulation which was stuck for weeks working, and also now done it twice, one a bit more correct then other.

and i found some really cool insect. they all made me feel happy. and the dogs that i do put some food for were as cheerful as usual (they follow me around, can seek me from crowd from fairly far away), they always bring me joy.

I am happy as we speak.

  • the unexpected. when i did some lab work in a course to study how different chain lengths travel at different speeds, that is what we got (shorter ones are slower iirc, because they interact more with surroundings, or maybe that is just true for chemical chromatography stuff). That was very interesting, cause i did that one with my seniors batch just because i was interested, and when it was time for my batch covid happened. also my first (major) exposure to carcinogen (we used some dye which is banned in eu i think)

  • pardon me, but you are overthinking it a lot. with regular sound, you are usually not generating a sound constantly, and ven if you would you are likely one of the nodes, and the sound dynamics would be triangular nodal situation, which seems like hard (3 body problem). Also it is not really a filter, cause you are often not producing exact frequencies for resonance conditions, in which case the are just reflectors. I am ignoring your comparison with cmb and cosmo scale. frequency is property of a wave, and is limited by geometry and medium.
