The one cool thing about this is that it's intended to run off a single cable plugged into the monitor for both power and display. That's where the interesting part ends.

It affects your depth perception, so it's harder to tell how far away your target it, but it makes it easier to see if you're correctly lined up with it horizontally.
They don't care about the criminals though, it's the normies they want to spy on.
The criminals are going to do other stuff that's going to put them on a watchlist, it's almost inevitable. But normal people aren't going to do any of that, so they have "no need" to be protected by encryption.
I love my Steam Deck, but I rarely use it. At home, I have a PC and I'd rather sit in a comfortable chair with ample screen space with a full keyboard and mouse. I only bring it with me when I'm expecting to be away from home for more than 24 hours with enough downtime to actually use it.
This specific website only shows information that the browser is freely offering. Basically you open the page, and without the website even asking for anything, that's the information it's getting. It's not querying any data points, or trying to tie any of them together. This is just your browser saying "Hi, we just met, so here's a bunch of stuff you may want to know about me."
If they want to know more, they can just ask and the browser will give more information. If there's information the browser doesn't want to share, the website can infer a bunch more information.

Those laws are meant to protect all consumers and should absolutely be punished very harshly no matter who breaks them, otherwise it just makes it okay if you make up for it by milking the public enough to compensate for the fine.
