  • I need to tack on a moderator blurb to this post. I received a report from Rimu that this post doxxed them. While it does appear the original post contained Rimu's full name, I do not believe this qualifies as doxxing.

Posting someone's full name typically would be doxxing, but Rimu has completely subverted their own expectation of privacy by publicly linking their full name with their development work on Piefed. Their username is even their real first name. I do not believe you can doxx someone who already did it to themselves.

This information is publicly available, and it was made so by Rimu themselves.

Not only is this not doxxing but under these circumstances it smacks of a half hearted attempt at censorship. Rimu made themselves a public figure. You cannot post their address, or other personal information, but their name is fair game by their own choice.

  • I would love to see the US broken out by state, the west is mostly fucked. Especially with the amount of migration its seen the last decade.

  • I read the comment and thought commendation was the word. Read an article that called it a proclamation, then the article said the proclamation commended her...

  • Commendation?

    Edit: proclamation

    Edit 2: both?

  • Not really. Convenience relies on the app and browser plugin, but they could be recreated like the server was.

  • People with that much wealth and power have no motivation to cheat right? RIGHT? I mean, its not like we've built our entire society around that.

  • Andrew Johnson pardoning nearly every traitor so they could rot our country from the inside out like a cancer definitely didn't help.

  • There are a lot of unsecured endpoints in the system, the devs know its an issue.

  • Its not.

  • Bowel movements vary by person. From 3 times a day down to once every 3 days. Less than once every 3 days is considered concerning medically, but not necessarily a problem.

Your teacher was the one full of shit.

  • Vaultwarden

  • It's also pretty insecure so host over the web at your own risk.

  • I would not have thought of Omar as a villain. The man even takes a stand against criminals killing people not in the game.

  • Looks mechanical. Is it always that corner no matter the print? Check everything where the stress changes as the toolhead moves.

  • Curious what the hangup with that is?

  • OK, use the free tier if you don't sell... And if you don't like the terms, FreeCAD is your option.

  • I am a big fan of OnShape, its free for personal use. By that they mean that all your projects are publicly accessible when using the free options. Otherwise its the same as the paid option. As a hobbiest this is fine with me because I am putting all my stuff up with a creative commons license anyway. It is my way of giving back to a community that has given me so many designs for free.

Teaching tech did a great introductory series on it which includes a video about why he chose on shape.

If you have experience with other cad programs you'll probably get through the videos quickly as the concepts translate from software to software, its just a difference in interface and execution.

  • They are keeping tight control over with what software you can use to run your printer. They've only ever moved in a more restrictive direction. They're turning up the temp little by little, some day their customers will be in hot water.

  • It helps your body strengthen your T cells which are the regulatory captains of your immune system. I have an auto-immune disease and doctors are always commenting on how good my wife and kids vitamin D levels are. I insist they take a good daily dose. Vitamin D is also pretty difficult to overdose on over the counter. You have to take an unreasonable amount of pills to cause any harm even if you buy the higher dose pills. Its not like other vitamins, it's more like a hormone to your body.
