  • Don't sleep on "A Knight's Tale"

  • A real, functional minimum wage across all jobs (close the loopholes around tips, piecemeal work, etc). Have it pegged to inflation so it stays a living wage.

  • Spending the day working in a field, in a factory, etc you don't do a lot of socializing.

  • Some of the DVD/Blu-ray versions of "GalaxyQuest" have the entire movie dubbed into the weird screeching alien language as a quirky bonus feature.

  • They're creating their own events, separate from the official Olympics

  • For free.

How many other games give you as much free "DLC" at Minecraft, year after year? And the game was lower cost to begin with.

If this was any other game, every one of these updates would be $10 and/or the whole platform would have gone to an annual subscription a long time ago

  • How Simon broke River out is pretty significantly different, that's the biggest one. A few other small things.

And I refuse to consider "Serenity" canon for other obvious reasons.

  • Between the Joss factor and the fact that the heroes are obviously based on "lost cause" confederates, who today are all racists hicks, it's hard to watch now. But it's soooo well made.

  • How can it be canon to both the show and the movie? The movie wasn't in the same canon as the show.

  • The article never mentions Australia. The reporter is from the American ABC. Everything mentioned here, including Disney, the $15 million, the reporter... all American.

No one here is talking about Australia except you

  • I don't think mega corporations have been resistant to social activism only in the last couple of decades. It's been true since at least the days of the robber barons of the early 20th century.

  • No, it's not a different ABC.

  • Shocked Pikachu face.

He sold out to a massive corporate conglomerate and they don't support his social activism.

Who could possibly have seen this coming.

  • ABC has been owned by Disney for decades. Are you confusing them with CBS who just went through a merger?

  • Hadn't seen Polyphonic before. Looks great. Subscribed!

  • You just described addiction as a mental condition. People can use anything as an unhealthy coping mechanism. It sounds like you've probably correctly identified it as an addiction. Now you can treat it like one.

  • People can become addicted to food, too, but clearly can't stop entirely. There are comparisons.

That said, I'd say this is more like work addiction or shopping addiction where stopping completely for a time is possible while you detox, then see what feels right about reintroducing healthy versions in a safe way.

  • Find groups then. It's not exactly the same, but 12 step groups are an excellent, free option. Honestly a great addiction recovery plan often includes both individual and group work.
