  • Watch the announcement be "we're still working on it" then that's it for the next four years.

  • Oh yeah no doubt

  • There are many things to nitpick, but that isn't one of them. Old Testament mentions Adam had both sons and daughters.

  • TBH I didn't know they had affiliation with IGN. Good for them though.

  • Not an issue, per se. In order to keep the team small they built most the app in a single codebase. It's mostly web code, and the apps are wrappers for it. So it keeps it unified between all clients but it definitely feels like a web wrapper, so it can feel a bit slow or clunky.

  • Yeah that's true. Never said anything about being happy. Or it being sustainable. Sometimes it's all you can do to survive.

  • On the bright side being indispensable makes me impervious to layoffs.

  • Plug for Tuta. 🤷‍♂️ The user experience isn't the best, but it's as secure as it gets. Small team, no vibe coding.

  • This is my own conjecture, but I'm willing to bet that playing nicely with Pres. Trump somehow saves Apple billions more in lost revenue to tariffs and legislation because Trump rewards those who are on his good side. I'm also willing to bet Tim / Apple is pressured to do this and has a very different attitude behind closed doors. Not that this excuses anybody for their actions, but it's clear they're trying to game the system the best they can in the name of "business".

  • You always dribble a little bit when you pull your pants back up.

  • In case anyone is like "oh interesting, didn't know that" then keeps scrolling: it's not true.

  • Gut bacteria seem to cause and cure everything these days.

  • I didn't like Jira before I used everything else. Now I like Jira.

  • This. There's a huge different between AI's shallow transliteration and an actual translation that respects the culture and context.

  • If you want weird, look at the Athanasian Creed. Here's a snippet:

"... For there is one Person of the Father; another of the Son; and another of the Holy Ghost. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is all one; the Glory equal, the Majesty coeternal.Such as the Father is; such is the Son; and such is the Holy Ghost. The Father uncreated; the Son uncreated; and the Holy Ghost uncreated. The Father infinite; the Son infinite; and the Holy Ghost infinite. The Father eternal; the Son eternal; and the Holy Ghost eternal. And yet they are not three eternals; but one eternal. As also there are not three uncreated; nor three infinites, but one uncreated; and one infinite. So likewise the Father..." and it goes on and on and on like this, never actually saying what they are. It's a headache to get through.

  • Topical prescription of Finasteride and Minoxidil (they come in the same bottle) nightly. Just enough drops for good scalp coverage. Derma roller weekly. That's it.

  • I've done endless hours of research through studies and whatever else I could find, as well as visits to dermatologists. The following four things reversed my hair loss:

    • Finasteride (this is the biggest one). I take it topically, but you can take it orally too. Prevents balding from getting worse.
    • Minoxidil
    • Derma Roller, 1.5mm. "Wounding". This may be placebo, but it hasn't made things worse.
    • Seeing a good dermatologist to get a proper diagnosis and proper prescriptions for the first two things.
