Why else would he care about what other people are attracted to? Poor guy probably suppressed his homosexuality his whole life and thus is now very bitter about it.
And then people will find another way to do what they want. Similar as they did with the internet as it started. It was not always a commercial cesspool, it started as a very nerdy space and replaced TV as a primary source of information. We can do it again. History does not show a pattern of people submitting, but a history of revolution.
I used the time to find a peertube instance i like. It was not a smooth experience, but good enough that I found enough content to watch. So even if youtube would be working perfectly again I don't think I want to use it anymore. It also made me question my media consumption as a whole.
