    The real draw here in Philly is when all the University of Penn kids finish up their semester and move back to whichever Chinese province they came from for the summer.

    Those kids are all so wealthy that they buy the nicest stuff when they move in, and rather than haul anything back to their hometown or pay for storage, they just drop everything outside like a house collapsing in Ultima Online, lol.

    I found a brand new computer once, still in the original box with styrofoam and everything! I put Linux on it and ran that shit for 10 years as my media server.

  • I like it. I think if I had been a first time player (far from it — I played it at release), this would be a worthy way to experience the game. That said, playing it again just feels deeply discordant for me. It's drop-dead gorgeous with the visuals, but the sound effects, NPC models, and so much more just remind me of the original jank, and it snaps me back and forth, lol. Going back to KCD2, cus it's new to me.

  • Well, I'm not Beeple, but I'll try to answer the question anyway.

    Honestly I've done it all — 4 monitors in a 2x2 grid, four side by side, two side by side, two side by side and one vertical. Honestly, what I took away from the experience is that monitor space is like the size of a bowl for goldfish. You'll pretty much always stretch out and figure out how to use screen real estate

    When I simplified things down, I found I was happiest with one UWD, and a small second monitor off to the right. It's well suited for graphic design work, cus I can keep a document or Slack open on a small monitor and have a full UWD to handle all my toolbars and stuff.

  • The death penalty is not widely supported among Jewish communities — doubly so for the reform population in my old neighborhood in Pittsburgh. I agree with you that this feels right, but I can't help but feel like this is justice delivered for people other than the affected. I miss Squirrel Hill every day, and I am not sure that the wound that this asshole created will ever heal. I think about the lost every day.

  • It would take maglev from a laboratory technology to a common one. That would be an enormous boon to rail tech, especially in high density corridors.
