  • Forcing the most radical extremists underground won't deprogram them, but it will make it significantly more difficult for them to spread propaganda. The point of deplatforming is to shut down the pipeline so that fewer people get radicalized.

  • Steam Forums are slowly devolving into one of the worst right-wing incubators because they refuse to proactively moderate. Any time a game gets declared a target by the post-Gamergate crowd, the boards become flooded with propaganda, and Valve does not care.

  • Switch 2 runs Switch 1 games via a compatibility layer, rather than hardware-level BC like previous Nintendo consoles. Some games have bugs, but Nintendo has been continuously updating the compatibilty layer to iron those out.

    • The King of Fighters 2002 - Fans will argue over whether 98 or 2002 is best. 98 does not have Kula in it, so 2002 is better.

    • Puzzle Bobble - If you have a friend to play with, the original is still the best. However, there's no versus CPU, so substitute Bobble 3 if you're playing by yourself.

    • Waku Waku 7 - Incredibly goofy and colorful fighting game, every single character is a parody of 90s anime/game tropes.

    • Twinkle Star Sprites - A versus shmup with a super unique format.

    • Windjammers - A sort of extreme pong.

    Also check out FightCade for netplay, many of these games have active communities.

  • I played the DS version and found it to be kinda bland and cookie-cutter. Can't even remember anything specific about it honestly, I just remember it being a very forgettable game. Couldn't tell you if the PS1 version was any better, but I doubt it.
