I didn't look too deeply at it, but I'm presuming the setup using websockets pulling live post data is just building up a massive dump of html over time. Would probably be better to handle how scrolling and post data works so that the tab isn't just an ever growing dataset if the window is left open, have it flush away old posts and only retain ~200 in the live feed.
I could be completely wrong with this though as I haven't looked at how lemmy works under the hood.
Can confirm I was looking for the right community to talk about this instance and when I saw posts about noodles I presumed this was not it (I actually didn't read the sidebar). Would be good to enforce moderation a bit more on this space. Not that I don't love noodles.
Watched this a few days ago. Really fun watch. Actually featured a few games I wasn't familiar with: Kingon, Xtreme Paintball and Nam. But any video that dives into Trespasser gets an upvote from me.
Couple of spins and offs. They've managed it pretty well though given how wet it is. Sainz might be in trouble not just for his car smash but also dangerous driving in front of Albon. Expect some investigation after the session on that I think (not heard if they are looking into it yet).
A few games including Caves of Qud uses Wave Function Collapse on their landscape and environment population. It's an interesting technique that's only just getting more traction in games.
Probably https://umoria.org/ I play it often still. It's just so easy to dive into and delivers all the fun tension you'd want but doesn't need you to keep tabs on a story or quests. It's great to dip in for a short run or go for a long time.
Dunno if you'd count it as a book but the Epic of Gilgamesh is one of my all time favorite stories that I regularly go back to. Also, predates Homer by a long shot.
So we’re not in r/RedditAlternatives speaking in favor of Lemmy.
This is important. I've mentioned it before. There are probably levels of people: and those that straight up quit, are no longer a voice on Reddit. You could go back with a goal to draw people away, but I think it's also valid to let things play out their course. I'm still missing some subreddits I went to, especially those where I lurked rather than posted. I can live with that loss. I don't use Twitter any more and I didn't replace that with anything. I'm sure my life will go on without some replacement subreddits for now.
Wow is this fogging bad. I wonder if they’ll keep this going.
