  • AI is quite literally one of the keys to communism as far as I’m concerned. It has the capability to greatly reduce working hours and rapidly increase automation. Now in the hands of the bourgeoisie, it is incredibly dangerous.

    But the simple reality is that AI is here and it isn’t going away. So all the more reason to build the revolution

    Is it possible that that the Trump administration being backed into a PR corner would throw Netanyahu under the bus and leave Israel on an island with no aid?

    It’s difficult to imagine honestly because I honestly think the governments of the US and Israel are so deeply tied together that this kind of severance is just never going to happen.

  • Amazing how American liberals are acting as though Iran choosing Ali Khamenei’s son as Supreme Leader is undemocratic while their country has very recently had Bush and Bush within 8 years of each other.

    Also Trump just a few days ago called him an “unacceptable choice” after being the guy who authorized the killing of his father in the first place just days prior…

  • I’m so looking forward to March Madness…this silly, ridiculous basketball tournament makes me feel like a kid in the best ways. Watching these intense finishes and upsets with my friends, driving to the games in college, watching these 20 year olds have this sudden and fleeting moment of fame.

    It’s extremely exploitative, especially before NIL. And the whole thing rakes in millions of gambling dollars every year… but it reminds me of childhoods greatest moments

  • Oh most definitely. The only thing I think that could prevent that is if his advisors are such yes men that they tell him how amazing his poll numbers look only to get crushed in the midterms.

    Not nearly enough politicians in this country have any balls to actually do something though. What are they going to do? Impeach him again in a giant waste of everyone’s time?

  • I used to think of Israel as just another American proxy to support American hegemony in the region. However, I’ve never seen a proxy be able to drag the U.S. into a war that is as risky as this one.

    Sure, a win against Iran might collapse the Axis of Resistance which would enable Israel to colonize the Arab world with great success. But a loss… a loss could be the nail in the coffin for the American Empire. If the U.S. is forced out of West Asia it simply won’t be able to meet its ridiculously high energy needs.

    It’s speculation, but I have to imagine Trump’s people are panicking behind the scenes to some degree. American administrators are always evil, but they haven’t been this stupid for quite a long time if ever.

  • It is. Trump has been putting significant pressure on Latin American governments to assassinate and arrest cartel members. This is part of the reason why the Mexican government went after El Mencho.

    The Trump admin has already put significant sanctions on Colombia for resisting.

    Trump really has some horrendous military advisors. You’re suffering massive war resource losses in West Asia, actively spending billions on war resources there and now boots on the ground in South America.

  • They aren’t going to get it methinks. The USA is still supplying Israel and Ukraine. Two countries that they care about more than the gulf states. They’d sooner enable an Israeli takeover of the gulf region than supply them with weapons.

    Trump also might wind up caving to Iranian demands just to save face.
