  • Yes, I was looking into indexes like that, it's just funny to me that in many western countries in billions of dollars disappear in one "dirty lil deal", the witnesses get silenced, the evidence disappears, the investigations stop, while many of those "red ones" probably total that amount in a year ;)

  • ohhh snap, saw that one hahahahah

  • It's a decent collection, you can just directly go to the listed sources if you like.

  • Not on the list, cause it ain't even remotely as toxic ;)

Modern Industry & the system behind it are the definitely the problem. If we got rid of planned obsolescence alone, the issues would reduce dramatically.

  • Well some have way more "valueable" ones than others. I don't believe it's a size related thing (considering Africa, South America, Eastern Europe...). Here is a link somebody sent me, seems to be an actual theory: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resource_curse

  • Thanks, it's such an interesting read :))

  • Haven't read it, would you recommend it? :) Otherwise spoiler away XD

  • XDD

  • That is true! I do however suspect that it might be because the oil & gas in Norway is below the sea, which makes it complicated to extract. Therefore also making it hard to control & steal, which also makes it an unattractive target I guess.

You might be right about land, apparently wood is even one of the rarest materials in the universe: https://www.chemistryspace.com/2025/11/rarest-material-in-universe.html

  • May this be the first of many losses going forward

    fingers crossed <3

  • Very good points! Didn't even consider that, it does not make sense at all haha

Yeah also my theory, easiest way to get people to resign huh
