'round the world and home again, that's the sailor's way...

  • Fucking chuckle worthy

  • Inspirational, thank you for sharing!

  • Hey did you ever blow bubbles as a kid?

    ..

    ...

    ....

Well he's back in town and he wants your new number.

  • It's one thing to ponder this sort of relationship now, when I am able to pull women (don't let my wife read this hah) and still functional and attractive. It's like cocaine, I'm not doing it now, but when I'm 80, I might be snorting the hell out of it - consider this feeling applicable to cheap companionship, if I'm still kicking at that age and my wife has passed, I will be buried cheap perfume and soulless holes.

  • I love this... less weight and danger to others when he goes splat.

  • Sounds like mild depression... Don't be too hard on yourself but don't slip into malaise either - set a goal that is outside of your normal routine, maybe running for 10 minutes without a break, maybe stretching and getting to new level of flexibility, maybe a daily 10 minute meditation routine. Best of luck shaking it off!

  • so much of American food has zero flavour, zero spices

Hey we're not all in the midwest... hahah - but no. America being a true melting pot means that we have access to every cuisine the world has to offer. The best part of that is the lack of conquest - we didn't go steal the worlds' best food, for a long time (not now unfortunatley) we opened our arms to people fleeing your country, and let them come here and succeed, opening restaraunts, food carts, shops, etc - and my tastebuds are eternally grateful!

  • That pack of beer doesn't require an entire infrastucture of services to maintain... when you buy a house (really the land) you are buying a stake in the community, a community that requires upkeep and you are agreeing to pay your share of the upkeep... think local law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, infrastructure maintenance (sewer/water/roads), and I think the biggest one, local education.

  • You wouldn't see much, unfortunately...

  • On average ~25% of that rubber is synthetic, i.e. pertroleum/plastic based.

  • ...and ~35% come from the clothes we wear. No clothes, no cars, sign me up.

  • The research combined real-world ocean observations with the models to determine the most reliable, and this hugely reduced the spread of uncertainty. They found an estimated slowdown of 42% to 58% in 2100, a level almost certain to end in collapse.

Rahmstorf, who has studied the Amoc for 35 years, has said a collapse must be avoided “at all costs”. “I argued this when we thought the chance of an Amoc shutdown was maybe 5%, and even then we were saying that risk is too high, given the massive impacts. Now it looks like it’s more than 50%. The most dramatic and drastic climate changes we see in the last 100,000 years of Earth history have been when the Amoc switched to a different state.”

    Yikes.

  • Pedophilia is sexual attraction to kids, full stop. Our current justice system refers to it as rape because a child cannot consent - hence why we might think of pedos as having a power fixation, but they do not see themselves as rapists (as rapists do) - they want to bed and often marry children.

whereas the pedos like on Reddit and stuff who wanna actually sext kids do it for power

Silly to bring it up, but watch a few episodes of your boy Chris Hansen doing his thing... these men are not looking to rape, they are sexually aroused by children, not a power fantasy.

IMHO acting on pedophilia should be a capital offense - I do not believe these people can be reformed with our current understanding of brain chemistry. Maybe if we lived in Demolition Man world I'd be down to put them on ice forever.

  • Hell yeah I can get behind this!! 😂

  • (killer avatar, btw)

Thanks! Self-killer to be precise. It's an interesting read leading up to that work: https://www.newyorker.com/culture/culture-desk/the-final-shocking-self-portrait-of-richard-gerstl

you could basically ask for and receive whatever type of dish to fulfill your heart’s content

For sure, I just hate the waste. You can never get to the dip inside the grooves and if you're in a nice place you're not pouring out of it onto your dish... I mean you can but etiquette and all lol

"Bleeding heart liberal" etc - damn right I am

  • Gorgeous as a piece of art, mildly infuriating to be served this in a restaraunt... I want to dip in the sauce and be able to get to it.
