Upgraded to the beyond 2e from my reverb G2 and I absolutely love it! Had to go through a couple different face plates since my eyelashes were touching the lenses, but their support was really good about getting a replacement/new face scan.

Imo the weakest area is the audio strap, especially coming from the G2 which has identical speakers to the index, but in the future I’ll probably look into the project beyondex strap to get the index speakers working with it

This is from stacking dozens of exposures and not rejecting out the trails. The satellite still moves for the few seconds between each exposure, creating the gaps

Essentially every stacking program have options to reject outlier pixels, such as the satellites. Hell even just averaging the pixels in an image stack without the outlier rejection would greatly diminish the streaks.

We finished out For All Mankind rewatch just in time for the new episode to come out!

For bad movie night last night we did Cats and Dogs (2001). Imo more it’s more silly than bad, but still about pets being secret spies at war with each other.

Started watching the last season of For All Mankind before season 5 comes out.

Also watched The Last Vampire on Earth for bad movie night last night. It’s best described as “if Tommy Wiseau tried to make Twilight”

Untreated sleep apnea can lead to some pretty bad health problems later on (a-fib, coronary disease, stokes, hypertension) in addition to just being tired as shit all the time

It sure is! The monochrome sensors are also great for narrowband imaging, where the filters let through one specific wavelength of light (like hydrogen alpha) which lets you do false color imaging.

IR is basically the same. Here’s the page on JWST’s filters. No clue about xray scopes, but IIRC they don’t use any kind of traditional CMOS or CCD sensor.

At least for astronomy, you just have one sensor (they’re all CMOS nowadays) and rotate out the RGB filters in front of it.
