  • I haven't either, I bought it to give to them, so it's theirs. That's the definition of a gift, I'm not loaning it to them. Also, if I'm their parent and I need to protect my child or discipline them, I don't need to confuse or attack them with threats of ownership. It's their belongings but I can ground or restrict their access because I'm their parent and they are my responsibility.

    I don't blame the immigrants for their goals of a better life, it's logical to take advantage of the situation. It's also logical for the employer to take advantage of cheap labor. It's also logical for me to offer something that the immigrants can't to keep myself employed if I working the same field.

AI enhances cheap labor by allowing lower performing labor to seem better at their jobs or AI allows better performing employees to do their jobs better increasing their burden and creating job scarcity. Either way, sooner or later, we are screwed, better find a way to deal with it.

  • It will make below average people seem more like current average intelligence once they learn how to skillfully use AI. Collectively it will reduce overall intelligence and increase reliance on technology just like the Internet and smart phone have done. No high horse here, I'm just as guilty. But the AI rott will be a very big issue in the coming generations just like Internet rott has become a big issue with gen Z and gen Alpha.
