Internet was mostly used for my people to find each other and do nerd shit. The rest were normies being trolls or casual people that just kind of stumbled through it. Corporations had websites but they were mostly just a one page description of the company and not really useful. Social media was basically chat rooms and message forums. Ads were mostly banners and maybe a few pop ups, sometimes a website would have so many pop ups that your computer would lock up. Search engines would bring up the wildest results. It was basically free and open and mostly unregulated, until Metallica attacked P2P (Napster) sharing and that's about the time it started to fall apart and the glory days ended.
I would say cost because of capitalism. It's very cheap to run, subscription based, low cost entry, push ads, data gathering, and just about any device can run it regardless of OS or performance.
It doesn't need to reach everyone, just the ones willing to pay for it.
I'm not in favor of it but I do see why it would make sense for some people
If they don't have a cat then leave a litterbox, cat toys, and cat food out as if a cat has been living there. If they don't have a dog then leave a leash, dog food and dog bed. Repeat for other animals you get the idea
Doctor's are required to protect the patient and those around them, even if it means protecting them from themselves. I don't think HIPAA would have anything to do with it disclosing that type of information.
That doesn't mean that a doctor couldn't be coerced into lying, taking a political side and violating their oath, they are still human.
It just feels wrong, like Ferrari is about being race car purests that also make race cars for the average driver. I know they've evolved/changed over years, but this feels wrong, like they went too far. Atleast Audi's electric car still looks like a Audi. The price tag is insane for what you're getting.
The seasons are so far apart I can't remember what's going on. Rewatching seems like a waste of time because I didn't really care for the characters all that much.
Glad I missed it
