  • IIRC Wolverine was presumed dead in 1988.

    After the Mutant Massacre (#210 to #219) the X-Men were thought dead and set up in Australia of all places (#229 to #269).

    That would have started in May, 1988.

    Then again, Havok was also in that group...

    You could do "best parts" versions of seasons 1-3 and make movies out of them too!

    It's the same story in both. Preston's book is a little sensationalized and reads like a Michael Crighton novel. Light, breezy and horrifying.

    Garretts book reads like a New York Times article, painstakingly reaearched and sourced.
