  • I work in a similar environment. Most of our projects lifecycle we were 4 devs who knew each other reasonably well and all had high trust in each other. Unless it was a one-liner or a hotfix at 4am did get merged without a code review. Most if the reviews were just hitting the checkmark, things look fine done. But sometimes someone makes a mistake, as is human. In that case we caught it before it hit main.

  • Maybe we can find some coal to mine right below the town? That'd be a win-win for these fossils

  • Not devoted to genocide - but rather when wanting better candidate (a real socialist candidate that does not support the war machine) but instead getting a sock puppet I'd rather try to have the sock puppet instead of letting worse people win.

  • Then again what is the other Option? Not vote for either candidate like in 2024 and let Trump win?

I'm not a US citizen but I still act similar in my local elections - vote for the candidate that will do less evil when they're in office, if there is no better option. And I gotta hand it to the DNC they're really amazing at just cutting off their own legs. Because shooting themselves in the knee can't describe this.

  • It looks very nice, but unfortunately it'll likely not really reach mass-appeal just due to no proper mobile app (yet).

Personally I'll definitely look into moving over with the communities I really enjoy using - but the masses will not move in my experience. You can see with how reddit still exists.

  • Lagostina Ingenio

That seems to be made by Tefal - as they also have their Ingenio Set :D

  • Sorry, not replying to everyone individually, because I did not at all expect so many replies.

Thank you all for your recommendations, for now I did go with a Tefal set with ceramic coating.

I'll however keep all the amazing recommendations in mind for the future or when family & friends are asking for my input.

And to the stainless/cast iron crowd - I hear you and maybe in the future I'll go for a stainless pan - for now I'll non-stick with the ceramic ones. I'm already convinced with pots, but never got to try it for pans and am not in a point in my life to throw a good bit of money at a pan that I maybe never use because I don't like it.

  • BuyFromEU @feddit.org

    Recommendations for european made pans?

  • I mean you Gotta Hand it to "Ai" - it is very sophisticated, and Ressource intensive predicitive Text.

  • I did a similar thing with all my sheets - run over them with super high grit (400/800) sandpaper once or twice, clean with IPA and paper towels and since then I've never had any issues with prints not sticking

  • IMO that's not the fault of Linux per se but of the manifacturers that only provide drivers/software for Windows and then let the community figure out the rest. The end result is the same just due to a different cause.

  • In that case you can cross of (part) of Austrians lineup as well. While their more expensive headphones are made in Austria (or at least were) I'm fairly certain that the Bluetooth ones are made in China.

  • I've not user Klipper in a long while, but would it not suffice if Klipper knew 'Spool has 100m Filament left, print says it takes 110m, throw an error/require user confirmation to continue '?

  • Definitely! Mostly looking forward to see how/if other printers (especially Klipper) will support it

  • As far as I know most of Metabo's stuff is made in the EU. Not everything mind you but in general I've heard very good things about them & the tools I've used from them (mitre saw) were pretty nice

  • I've seen and used AI for snippets of code and it's pretty decent at that.

With my colleagues I always compare it to a battery powered drill. It's very powerful and can make shit a lot easier. But you'd not try to build furniture from scratch with only a battery powered drill.

You need the knowledge to use it - and also saws, screws, the proper bits for those screws and so on and so forth.

  • Yeah in the final update of corporate "foundational security improvements", which was discussed in 2015.

Rumor has it that people aren't even allowed to put their passwords on sticky notes anymore as well!

  • Makes sense unfortunately. It was too good of a deal - 2 mainline games for 100€, when they now charge up to 80€ per title.

I'm honestly surprised it took them that long to kill it.

  • People are using a Java higher than 7? surprised corporate face

  • So it'd spoil in 2030 at the earliest?
