  • If Verhoeven put this in a movie people would be like “that’s a little much” these people are disturbing

  • If I post in slack that my family was almost killed and the CEO responds with “this is getting me fired up!!” I will absolutely leak admin credentials and let that bitch get hacked. Kinder and gentler than choking a mf

  • Nah I think that what you said was legitimate and I don’t think you need to reword it. I’d rather be part of a social media experiment where there’s allowed to be some nuance and subtlety. Also I think you’ve made it pretty clear that nazi’s are excluded from the list of people to try to be nice to. I agree with you there!

  • Hell yeah thank you for your service

  • Butlerian Jihad

  • Love how the point of the post is “hey try to be nice” and everyone sounding off in the comments like “FUCK YOU AND FUCK THOSE SPECIFIC GUYS TOO”

Maybe more people should just post their reviews of vacuums here

  • I actually kind of like that the word covers a lot of situations. I’d support different words for different loves but my feelings about my romantic partner, my friends, and riding a bike are kinda related to each other in some way.

  • Technology @lemmy.world

Why am I getting gore on my racism app?

  • What is the second picture?

  • Thank you for all your hard work! This is a great instance and I’m glad to be part of it!

  • 404 does not miss

  • This goes so hard

  • Hell yeah

  • Ok who’s got pics of the glowing platypus?

  • A lot of people on the comments seem to have had landlords who “fixed things”

  • No spez. The rest is kinda similar (except on a technical level that mostly matters to nerds)

  • Honestly as someone who has helped family members set up a password manager one person felt this way and the rest are just not tech savvy. All the simple straightforward stuff took ages because they had never done it before.

  • One does not simply walk into Mordor

  • Gmail and Google drive are far easier to use than Outlook and OneDrive. Not saying they’re good things for the world but those products haven’t been fried yet.

  • I found the Anarcho-Texh security guide helpful in getting started thinking about this with more nuance. I’m including the link below but here’s a short summary

Are you an: Individual Journalist Targeted Activist

Are you annoying: Random assholes Assholes with resources The State

Each category has bigger security needs on one side and more powerful tools on the other. It’s kind of humbling to realize that I’m just an individual and the NSA has no special interest in me, but that makes me feel better using a separate browser without additional security to shop on sites that block a VPN etc

(Also tbh I’m not sure when this page was last updated and I have no involvement with the org. Just a cool resource)

  • Mildly Interesting @lemmy.world

    Well well well
