During the winter up north it’s bleak and cold for the trades, I’ll see the sun for an hour or so when I wake up.
Personally I wake up every other hour during daytime sleeps, so I’m rarely well rested.
But the pay bump is quite good, and there’s way less supervision micromanaging you.

I live in Canada and if I search “sushi” in Apple maps it brings up restaurants in fucking California. Also it’s directions suck here.

War and peace is my white whale, I’ve tried a few times. I’ll put it down for a while as I often do with books but when I pick it back up I’m completely lost in who is who and where I am.
Had a few buddies that were welders and they talked me into it. Turns out you make a shit load of money and it’s cool as fuck. Sucks working away from my wife and son for stretches but I can’t imagine being as happy doing anything else.
Adam Ragusea is the GOAT though, I make his bolognese all the time and freeze it so I always have some easily available.
His chicken cacciatore is god tier as well.
