  • Man, I remember watching this guy about ten years ago. Great channel!

  • Too late anyway. I've started distrohopping again.

  • Whoa! I've never seen someone running Parabola before! Could you tell me what WiFi card you have?

As for ricing, I'd recommend looking at colour schemes. I used to use Dracula, which has pre-built configs for GTK, Qt, i3/Sway, Xresources, and most terminals.

  • Ah, for fuck's sake... Anyone know how to switch to a different init system on openSUSE? /srs

  • He would have been in his early 30s at this point, but if this tape I found online is anything to go by, he just looked like some dude.

  • OpenRC and sysvinit are probably the best options out there, and dinit looks promising. Personally, though, I like s6.

  • I resent the idea that I'm sitting at the nazi bar. A more accurate metaphor would be that I am in a nazi town that I cannot yet leave, and that every other town for miles is in a similar situation.

I am well aware of manufactured consent. This is happening, but not in the way you think. The idea of a genocide against Russian-Ukrainians is a lie being told by Putin and his government in order to manufacture consent for the invasion and annexation of Ukraine.

Putin's government is what I would consider fascist. It is widely known to be authoritarian, anti-communist, homophobic, and nationalist.

Looking briefly at Ukrainian political history, it seems that Yanukovych (the president from 2010–2014) was also a lot closer to being a nazi than Poroshenko or Zelenskyy, based on his supression of the media, cronyism, corruption, concentration of power, corporate raiding, and supression of the masses.

Why do you say that Poroshenko's government was a "nazi proxy gov(ernment)"?

  • I'm not Canadian, I can't help being born in a NATO country, and I am firmly against my country's decision to help the US.

You, on the other hand, can choose to look at what's really happening in Ukraine and realise that maybe - just maybe - Russia is the bad guy.

  • That's part of the reason we're making Chuck Norris jokes instead of sympathising one iota. May as well have some fun.

  • Yeah, but in my experience it isn't great. Salix is a lot nicer.

Of course, your mileage may vary. There are definitely still a lot of true slackers out there!

  • Since the XNU kernel is part Mach, part OSFMK, and part FreeBSD, all NeXT machines and all Macs made since the 2000s run BSD.

  • KDE Liquid is also a thing.

  • Chuck Norris doesn't suffer medical emergencies: medical emergencies suffer Chuck Norris.

  • Syncthing. It's not so much a backup as redundancy, though.

I have machines in the network that rarely get powered on, however, so I could possibly consider them offline backups.
