If a noob really shouldn't use it, put a clear warning or something in the beginning och the installer process or clearly on the download page.
Expecting every potential user to go through your wiki is not reasonable. I am rarher comfortable with many distros, but I have only ever visited their wikis when stuff breaks.
I have read websites and been through the instellers for the distros many times though.

Or by using my self as an example; I never buy my self fancy chocolates, incense, scented candles or such, but I like having them. If I got a gift card for a store of that kind I would be forced to spend it there and thereby forced to make my self happy.
Of course a gift card at Amazon or whatever would not be very fun. There is zero thought behind that.
The only thing DuoLingo has that matters to me is the streak. It keeps what I know fresh and forces me a little further each day. It is just what I need.
