I've loved this movie since I first saw it in the 90s. Thinking back on it, this movie really laid the blue print for Joss Whedon and James Gunn type MCU and DCU movies. Great action sequences, a good dose of humor, and decent story that doesn't pretend to be anything more than a fun movie.
As a youth soccer coach, I'd take this over some of the parents I've dealt with. We had one girl bullying other kids and when we told the mom she refused to believe us. Even when one of the other coaches told her she overheard it. The mom just said she must have misheard.
I kept mine active but haven't used it since Musk took over. I just changed my name and bio to my Mastodon account so people could find me. I used it for work and had a lot of people find my content through it, so I didn't want to just kill it. I also didn't want someone claiming my username because I use the same one on pretty much all of my work socials. It got to the point last week that I'd rather not be associated with the site, even if people know it's just to point you to my Mastodon. Hitting that delete button felt good, but I wish I had done it back in 2022.
Per the Microsoft KB for it, this only happens if Windows updates are installed before a user logs in for the first time. So basically re-images and especially VDI environments are at risk of this happening.
The Blues Brothers is my all time favorite movie. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to rewatch things unless it's been long enough for me to forget parts of it. But I've watched the Blues Brothers more times than I could count. Starting back whenever it was on TBS in the 90s, to when it was the first DVD I ever bought, to the two versions I have on my media server.
I have never heard of Nuts in May, so now I know what movie I'll be watching next.
I moved from #40 to #5 over the summer. The difference is staggering. You can just tell how much happier everyone here is and it really makes a positive impact on the community as a whole.
They offer me a job a while back and thankfully I turned them down. Their compensation offer was so crappy I was offended. Like $20k less than the minimum I told them. I told them it wasn't even close and I was frankly offended, they came up like $5k, so I told them to kick rocks. Looks like I really dodged a bullet.
Seems like they were always behind on things like that. I had a friend that would come over to my house to update his TiVo because I still had a landline and it required a dial-up connection. This was in 2005, well after the decline of dial-up.
