  • If it's a no-win either way, why not do the honorable thing and go to your son's wedding... nevermind I forgot who we were talking about

  • Avengers End Game - after years of build up and creating the entire MCU, it felt like a cop out for them to fix everything with a time travel plot that they set specific rules for. It was just lazy writing.

  • I'm a middle class white cis male and I fleed Texas last year. I can't imagine what it must be like for LGBTQ people there.

  • I bought a gaming laptop around 2005. You could anchor a ship and melt the polar ice caps with it. I don't think I ever installed a single game on it.

  • The tank in Arkham Knight on the Xbox 360. I spent hours trying to get past it. Finally looked online and others were saying it took them days to get past it. Decided I didn't like the game enough to put that much effort into one fight.

  • I can guarantee Ken Paxton is not doing this to protect anyone's privacy. He is an absolute piece of shit human being. Anything he is doing has an ulterior motive. He is probably trying to extort Netflix or prop up some other streaming services one of his lobbyist owns.

  • Red Dead Redemption 2 - played all the way through 3 times. Now I'll just load up in a random chapter and just enjoy the game and atmosphere. Sometimes I'll go a play a mission where I get you go nuts, or just load up go camping with my horse and explore the map. Or I'll make up my own challenges. Like hijacking a train to see how far around the map I could make it before getting shot. Or seeing how many racist/KKK members I can burn alive.

  • A requirement.txt that doesn't list versions. Especially if it has pytorch. I've fought dependency issues for too long with projects like that.

  • Not only do I know that my taxes are going to the betterment of the community, but in the end I actually save money. Not just with the therapy and things my son now gets through school. But the sales tax and property taxes are lower. Plus a my insurance premiums are substantially lower. My home owners insurance when from $12k a year to $2k because people don't want to write insurance for places like Texas anymore.

  • It wasn't an immediate turn heel, and leave moment, but my wife and I had talked about moving out of Texas for a while. Mainly driven by our son with special needs. We had been paying tens of thousands dollars a year for therapy and constantly fighting with his school to get the services he needed. Then last year things went downhill fast. We ended up pulling him out of school because one of the teachers told us they found him in the parking lot laying under a car. Not surprised he would do that, he is opposed with cars and especially exhaust systems, but he was supposed to have a paraprofessional with him all day, so we really wondered how he got away like. Unfortunately, he has communication problems, so he couldn't tell us. We had already been in talks with a lawyer about bringing a lawsuit to challenge the services they were offering. But his IEP already said he was supposed to have a para with him. When the lawyer told us it would cost $10-15k just to bring a lawsuit to force them to do what they are already legally required to do, we decided that was it. We were leaving Texas.

We ended up in Connecticut and it was the best decision we ever made. There are so many services here for him. He is truly thriving. My wife and I don't immediately tense up when we see the school calling. I broke into tears during my first meeting with them because it was all about what they could do for him. Versus every meeting ever in Texas where they made us feel like he was a burden on the school.

  • I was Bart's age when the show came out. I'm now older than Homer

  • I think with Smells Like Teen Spirit is Kurt always felt that like he didn't deserve as much praise because he considered the song to be a Pixies rip-off. It wasn't done to poke fun at the Pixies but out of his love for them.

  • Slash - Beautiful Dangerous (feat. Fergie)

I was shocked when I found it was Fergie singing. Apparently Slash thought she would make a good rock signer and wrote the specifically with her in mind. And he wasn't wrong.

  • The guitar solo in that song has no right to be that amazing

  • IIRC Song 2 was supposed to be a parody of how simple radio friendly rock music had become, then became their biggest hit.

  • Fuck yeah. More artists need to take page out of their book. There is no compromise with hate.

  • The Gits - I was huge into grunge and punk in the 90s, I have no idea how I missed them. Unfortunately, their singer Mia Zapata was murdered.

They only have two albums but they are both zero skips for me.
