  • Ah indeed, ALT+S does nothing. I must have pressed both before realizing it was frozen.

  • On my Terminal that just makes it so I can't type anymore, I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

My solution to the problem is CTRL+U, type sudo, CTRL+Y.

  • I'm pretty sure this setting exists, I believe I stumbled over it not too long ago. Sadly I don't remember where it was, but I recon if you go through all settings you should find it. It may be in the client settings.

Edit: Ok hm I was thinking of Profile > Next Up and Profile > Libraries. Maybe try messing around with those settings and see if that helps.

  • If you're a fan of Windows 7 I can highly recommend aerothemeplasma for the full experience!

  • YSK: thisismyip.com (website to display your IP) had inserted new code to its website that is detected by Kaspersky antivirus and Fortinet as malicious; Here are some alternatives to use instead

  • The same works with ipinfo.io, it's what I usually use.

  • I use and enjoy it too, but sadly it is not FOSS.

  • That's a separate OS setting. Signal itself has its own setting for which content is actually sent in the notification.

  • I don't use it anymore as I switched to TrueNAS which has the functionality built in, but I used to use docking-station.

  • I was able to change all metadata for one tv show, by just going into the show settings, changing the metadata language and country, and then clicking the 3 dots > Refresh Metadata > Replace all metadata.

All of the results are very odd. If you look through the other categories, Simplified Chinese gained THIRTY percent, the Hard Drive categories also wildly changed, and 32 GB RAM jumped +18%. It seems to me like a bunch of Chinese systems just flooded the statistics.

  • Users who aren’t verified as adults will not be able to access age-restricted servers and channels, won’t be able to speak in Discord’s livestream-like “stage” channels, and will see content filters for any content Discord detects as graphic or sensitive. They will also get warning prompts for friend requests from potentially unfamiliar users, and DMs from unfamiliar users will be automatically filtered into a separate inbox.

That shouldn't be too restricting for people using discord to chat with their friends though.

  • I would also heavily assume, that it happens client side before sending the content to Signal servers.

  • That sounds like you had your Home Assistant person entity tied to your computers too. If you just go off of your phone's presence, your laptop or desktop really shouldn't have any effect on that.

  • My router (FRITZ!Box) provides entities for all network devices, whether they are currently connected to the network or not.

I trigger all my stuff on when my phone connects/disconnects to my home WiFi. For me this is the best, simplest and least error prone way.

For your use case this would mean needing to have WiFi reception outside your house / in front of your garage, and having your phone reliably and quickly connect to the WiFi when you get home, which might not work great, depending on the strength of your WiFi outside your house.

  • Fantastic, I've always wondered where I can get more insights into the F-Droid build process. Thanks!

  • Ok yup, I completely missed that all releases in between were pre releases, I thought it was just a few. Thanks for the hint.

I do wonder now, why 2025.12 was never stable...

  • That's odd, on Aurora store that's also what I see. On the official Play Store page, it shows last updated January 29th though.

    Home Assistant F-Droid version outdated?

  • I don't know, I always found it pretty fun on my Xbox 360.

  • I already knew about using this for search, but the ticket example is another great use I didn't think of at all! Totally using this, thanks.
