  • I've also run into a few issues with the epic games launcher (i.e. game wouldn't patch, so I had to reinstall the launcher. Having to reinstall a game because the launcher doesn't see it anymore, launcher is slow, etc.) which is why I use the Heroic launcher.

  • Personally, while I do use Heroic to access games from the epic games launcher, I will probably never buy anything from them because of Epic buying exclusivity and removing Steam as an option from games that were crowd-funded.

  • Note that because of this, it is not going to be sold in any regions that don't officially have PSN

  • I tried it on the Gemini web app and couldn't replicate the results. Is that different from the AI overview?

  • There's 3 days left for the kickstarter for anyone that wants to back this.

  • I guess the guy doesn't consider roman senators to be rogues. Probably gave advantage for the surprise attack though.

  • One of the examples I've seen of SBI "forcing inclusivity" was making Saga in Alan Wake 2 black. I'm not familiar enough with SBI's work to do make a real judgement, but if this is one of the examples being used to say that SBI is making games worse, then the curator list is dumb.

  • Yes, she was using a mouse

  • Where there games that did this? From what I remember, you either used the analog stick and the z button or the d-pad with the Left shoulder button.

  • Yeah, I played It Takes Two with my gf last week and she had trouble with the most basic jumps because she couldn't use the keyboard and mouse at the same time. It might be easier with the controller, but moving a character and the camera at the same time is surprisingly hard to learn for beginners.

The best recommendations here are the games with extremely simple controls. I think Vampire Survivors was a good pick since you only need to use the keyboard for most of the time. Adventure games was another good recommendation since it should only require the mouse.

  • Honestly surprised that people seem to have forgotten about the harassment. It was really bad for some streamers and was inexcusable. It's like how gamingcirclejerk tried to deny that the harassment even happened.

    Fuck Ubisoft.

  • From the last time I had to use EA's launcher, I still couldn't easily pick an install location. It's incredible how shitty it is.

  • Aren't demos kind of making a comeback? I've played lots of demos on Steam.

  • Not really, it's just that a lot of guides nowadays are done on youtube. I personally think text guides are superior so I really don't want gamefaqs to go away.

  • I really hope Gamefaqs continues to persist. I still think it's one of the best places for guides.

  • I liked the online events because it was easier for them to get runners from around the world to participate. Also, I think the rhythm game showcases would have never happened without the online-only GDQs.

  • I'm guessing this is still related to that time where a guy running a tournament had his nude Chun-Li mod on.

  • While I agree that you could jump in with Yakuza: LAD, I think it might be worth playing the earlier games for Infinite Wealth because Kiryu is one of the main characters. There will probably be a lot of references to the previous games because of Kiryu's bucket list.

  • The other stupid part is that WFH makes more sense from a business perspective. Having to pay less in office rent and utilities is great for saving on costs.
