  • The article explains it. Its the native name that they're looking to change to.

  • Fairphone do work with Ubuntu Touch.

  • Yeah I remember it being very common here. I thought I was the odd one for not having a mod chip.

  • Nice to see some Haunter love. Such a cool design.

  • Did Reddit kill RSS? I remember a year or two back I could grab a feed from a subreddit pretty easily.

  • 17 was the best. I've got a soft spot for others like 10, 14, 16, 20, 22. But it would take an extremely convincing argument to get me to change my opinion on 17.

  • Not an issue with Fairphone 4 at least.

  • My phone Bluetooth is off by default so if I'm just going for a short drive I will listen to my local station. The music selection is generally decent and I don't mind the chatter. I'll also switch over for traffic reports if I'm stuck. I'm sure they're just looking at google maps but it saves me having to do it.

  • I've seen some children's books with popups.

Slightly more seriously though, I do have some books that have an advertisement for something else from the author or publisher.

I feel like being I am pedantic on the points here so I will make a point of saying that I agree with the spirit of your comment.

  • Write the speech first and practice it quite a bit. When practicing notice the emotions and maybe write breaks into your speech to allow you to feel.

The last funeral I spoke at I put a joke in and the idea was while the audience had a little laugh I could compose myself and get ready for the emotional close.

By rehearsing it you make it a bit easier but allow yourself to feel and grieve without restraint at some point.

  • Look in all honesty you are probably right.

  • "This should be the moment for electric bikes for short trips, below five kilometres," he told SBS News.

    Queensland LNP government says hi...

  • We're stuck on Edge at work and ublock origin lite or whatever its called works well enough for me and with my behaviours.

There aren't that many ads to block when most of what I use of the open web at work are Wikipedia and government funded websites.

  • The fee incurred by the merchant will also be reduced by way of the bank's fee to them being capped.

  • Those merchant fees will also be reduced. Or more accurately the cap on what the banks can charge them has been lowered.

  • I'm talking more about the psychology. At the moment there seems to be (amongst my workplace at least) a bit of concern about filling up before the price goes up since it seemed to be moving near daily. With it being cheaper (albeit temporarily) people should be a bit calmer about it and remove it from the forefront of mind. Calmer people are less likely to descend into anarchy.

I'm honestly glad you asked because I didn't immediately have an expansion to that ready and had to think about what I was trying to say.

  • Heavy road user charge being reduced is being underappreciated here. This is a good idea.

The excise reduction is interesting because there are good arguments on both sides. Lower cost increases demand typically but it will also go a long way to calming people down and having a net positive on society. Plus the bit where its slightly cheaper to try and exist.

I won't argue with receiving the benefits, but I'm not entirely convinced its the right move. Its not simple.
